Perez Hilton’s apology

Friday, June 26th, 2009

It seems that the openly gay gossip blogger has recently apologized for his gay-slander at the address of Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am. Perez Hilton was apparently pressured into doing this by The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Moreover, he has vowed to donate any money he makes in the lawsuit against The Black Eyed Peas’ manager to the Matthew Shepard Foundation which supports diversity programs in education. It was indeed a bit strange that a gay man would call a straight one a “faggot” with the purpose of insulting him. Would that be like a Jew calling another Jew a covetous prick? It’s good that the Alliance intervened… now there will be even more peace and diversity in the world!

Forget having a white Christmas – we’re going to have a Whitney Christmas! According to the head of her label Clive Davis, the diva’s first album of original material since 2002 will be out by the holidays this year. He says that 4 songs have already been completed for the as yet untitled album and 4 more will be put to tape later this month. Songs for the album have been produced or written by the likes of will.i.am, Sean Garrett and Akon who says “The voice is there; I don’t think anyone could ever take that from her. As long as we apply that voice to hit records, she’ll be right back where she left off.”
