Toni Braxton Times Two
Friday, May 8th, 2009Trina Johnson-Finn, a Las Vegas entertainer and impersonator, was arrested after she pretended to be Toni Braxton in a concert in Paramaribo, Suriname in South Africa. Prosecutors claim that the impostor tried to fool the crowd in the concert which took place over 2 months ago. Her husband says that she was merely the victim of a local con artist and concert promoter who was responsible for scamming the concertgoers into thinking that the real Toni would be performing. The truth came out once Trina was on stage and messed up a note at the start of the second song. People in the 3000 strong crowd started to boo. The couple was then taken into custody and they have to go to court on May 26th after being charged with defrauding people who bought tickets. The concert promoter has been found and arrested just this Monday.
