According to a new report, the country star Tim McGraw is seriously considering a run for Tennessee governor in 2010. If it is true, I think he will be the hottest governor in the land. Anything is better than Arnold really. And there’s no reason for him not to run. If actors can be governors in California, there’s nothing wrong with country singers becoming men and/or women in office in Tennessee. I think he should run. Faith Hill would make a lovely first lady. They will be the perfect first family of the state. Here’s to hoping that he does decide to run.

Tim McGraw’s label has gone ahead and released another of the singer’s greatest hits album – without Tim’s knowledge or permission. Tim says that he feels most for his fans saying “It has to be just as confusing to the fans as it is to me.” The reason is that this is the second compilation album since 2006 with only one studio album in between. He also says that he’s been working on a studio album for over a year now, performing new tracks on tour and hoping to release the new album in the fall but that he now has to hold off on that. Tim tells his fans “In the spirit of the election year, I would simply say to my fans ‘I’m Tim McGraw and I don’t approve their message.’” Considering that the album was produced without any communication with him, it’s rightfully so.

Country singer Tim McGraw has hit out at the female fan who grabbed his crotch onstage this summer as “disrespectful.” McGraw was performing alongside his wife Faith Hill on their Soul2Soul tour in Lafayette, Louisiana in July, when one excited devotee reached out to grab his manhood. I understand Faith’s reaction. Unfortunately, it appears that in today’s society there is very little conscience, let alone moral fiber. Good for Faith in standing up for the respect that she and Tim deserve, and Good for Tim in standing by his woman. Just because your life is in the public eye does not mean you are owned by the public. I think Tim should have had her arrested for bodily assault. That would certainly have taught her a lesson. (It’s not too late). I’m surprised she could even get a good grip through those tight jeans/pants he always wears…even still it’s still disrespectful. Faith is too nice, because that girl would’ve gone home with one hand if it’d been me.
