In an interview with GMTV, Mel B, more famously known as Scary Spice, revealed that she is heading out on tour with Janet Jackson. Mel said “Yep, well I’m 10 songs into my album and she worked with me on one of the tracks. I’m also doing a tour of America with her in September, which I can’t wait for. She’s a great lady.” That’s great and all except maybe for the fact that she’s lying. Sources are saying that it’s absolutely false that she’s going on tour with Janet. One source could hardly contain their laughter when asked if it was true saying “Not at all.”

Melanie Chisolm, more famously known as Sporty Spice, is arguably the most talented Spice Girl out of the five and she is looking to make more people believe that with a solo show that she has scheduled in Manhattan. Just as she did with her solo gig in LA, the singer will be playing her own material with her band during a night off from the Spice Girls reunion tour. The gig will be on February 9th, a Saturday, at The Grand Ballroom in Manhattan Center. Tickets go for $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster and Live Nation of January 18th. Sporty will take the stage at 9:15PM.

From Scary Spice to just plain Scrooge, Mel B pocketed a whopping £10,000 from a Christmas fundraiser in aid of terminally ill kids.
Despite the estimate MILLIONS the Spice Girls are expected to make on their comeback tour, Mel refused to waive her appearance fee for helping the Make a Wish Foundation.
An insider at the store fumed: “All Mel B did was sing a couple of Christmas songs, sign autographs and mingle with the crowd collecting donations in a plastic bucket. And for that she pocketed £10,000 that should have gone to needy kids. Many people felt she should have waived her fee. It’s the least she could have done to help raise cash for the kids.”
Bah humbug. Who thinks Mel should get a lump of coal in her stocking this year?

If their performance at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show was anything to go by, the Spice Girls concert wouldn’t be any good. But the thing is, that performance isn’t anything compared to the actual show because the show is really good!
Besides making LA fans go crazy by singing all their hits on Wednesday, Baby, Scary, Ginger and Sporty each belted out solo numbers. Mel C did ‘I Turn to You’, Scary made her own rendition of ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ and Ginger did ‘It’s Raining Men’. I forget what Baby sang but it brought the house down along with the other 3 nonetheless.
What did Posh do? Instead of belting out her own solo number, she opted to prance down the runway to a mix of Madonna’s ‘Like a Virgin’ and RuPaul’s ‘Supermodel’.

Another Spice Girls blog is up with Geri Halliwell penning it. In her blog, she admits that with all the rehearsals going on for the Spice Girls’ world tour, she feels like she’s stuck in some sort of ‘Spice Bubble’.
“I actually feel like I’m in the Spice bubble… we are encapsulated in this world where we are just immersed in each other’s lives constantly. Just before the run through of the show this morning, Mel B, Victoria and I even went to the loo together… in separate cubicles, obviously!”
She also talked about the Spice Kids having play dates and surprising Mel B in the live final of Dancing With the Stars.

Spice Girls mania is alive and kicking in the US, a little quiet in the UK and close to dead in South America. The girls have cancelled the only announced concert in South America. They sent an email to fans that had already signed up for tickets to the Buenos Aires show in explanation.
They say that due to their solo projects and family obligations, they are unable to extend the tour and that the Buenos Aires date is one that they are finding hard to fit into their schedules. As some sort of consolation, the girls will be holding contests for South American fans. The prize of which is a trip to London, flight and accommodations taken care of, to watch one of their shows.

We should already come to expect that after showing up for their first show together and the fact that their reunion tour is just around the corner, another Spice Girls blog would be up. This time around, it’s from Sporty Mel C. She talked about rehearsing, performing and even nerves.
She’s incredibly excited about their upcoming tour and spoke about the rehearsals saying that she thinks after all of it, they may just as well run a marathon. She also talked about the rush of being on stage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show last week but said that she was incredibly nervous and even shaking the whole time.
I’m sure the nerves will be gone come the start of their tour.

In a sneak peek at their highly anticipated world tour that will kick off on December 2 in Vancouver, the members of the biggest British girl group to ever come out in the 1990s almost stole the show from feathered and jiggly-bodied models on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held on Thursday.
The Spice Girls reunited and performed for the first time in almost 10 years. They performed one of their classic singles ‘Stop’ decked out in 1950s-style military outfits complete with male backup dancers. After a change of clothes and decades, the girls came out to perform their latest single ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)’ decked out in 1930s evening gowns.
Too bad they lipsynched the whole time.

The Spice Girls’ newest single ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) was played simultaneously by radio station across the UK yesterday morning. After the 30-second snippet that they used to tease fans a few days ago, it’s nice to hear the whole thing.
The song was written by Matt Rowe, Richard ‘Biff’ Stannard, Ginger and Baby. The pop girl group also made the video for the new single last Friday at Pinewood Studios. ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) will be available digitally in the UK on November 5 and physically on November 19. It’s only a matter of time now and the world will once again be Spice World.

With record stores going on respirators with the falling record sales, it shouldn’t be a wonder why a lot of artists are going digital with their releases. And it doesn’t apply to just the new artists. Take the Spice Girls as an example.
The 90s super girl group recently announced that their new Greatest Hits album wouldn’t be sold in traditional retail outlets. Their new record will only be available at online retailers, like iTunes, and Victoria’s Secret stores. Ladies, don’t forget to buy some lingerie while you’re at it.
Maybe they’re getting money from the store too just like a lot of artists being sponsored by retail brands.

If you ever heard the phrase ‘selling like hotcakes’, this one just has to take the cake. It’s so insane that we may just have to change some words in that phrase.
Tickets for the Spice Girls’ reunion concert at London’s O2 Arena recently went on sale and it immediately sold out. How immediate? Get this, 38 seconds! The demand was so high that they even had to add three other London shows and a second show in Los Angeles. Those dates have already been added with the tickets already going on sale.
Now those are some hardcore fans. Wow!

Mel C is honestly the best Spice Girl. The artist formerly and currently known as Sporty Spice has become an indie musician and it is awesome. She has earned her credit with her efforts.
Mel released a solo album on her own and it is really good. She even has a video for her new single called ‘This Time’. The video, much like the song, is sparse and emotional. It’s a beautiful pop song but in a way is actually the anti of pop. It’s something earnest that the Spice Girls would never ever release.
If only the rest of the world would catch on with her work.

Melanie Brown, famously known as ‘Scary Spice’ of the hit 90s group the Spice Girls, is getting an edge on her group mates when it comes to sharpening up her dance moves as she throws on her hot pink leg warmers and hits the dance floor with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy to practice for the show ‘Dancing with the Stars’. Maksim is returning for his fourth season.
For people living under a rock for the past few months, the Spice Girls will be putting on a reunion tour on December. This will be the first time in six years that the five girls will be working together.

It seems that the Spice Girls are determined to make their reunion bombastic in all ways possible, though I think what they are trying to achieve here is almost the making of a Mission Impossible-4 like thing, they have been of the seen for nearly 7 years now and the way new singers have crowded the calendar they would have the going tough. The latest addition to the comeback process is a brand new shimmering cover of the band’s greatest hit album. Similar to the cover of their debut album Spice, the new cover has letters carved out of precious jewels a million Pounds. In the work by top jewelry designer David Morris, each letter symbolizes one of the Spice Girls, as they did it in their debut cover. Well it’s clear that they want to try and repeat history and achieve the same super success one last time. Their nothing bad in trying and one should try hard to achieve success. I only think that they should do a reality check that once time goes by it never comes back, times have changed and they do not fit in today.
