Everyone predicted that Carrie Underwood’s CD would sell a lot and would go to the top of the charts but it actually did even better than any prediction made. ‘Carnival Ride’ is currently the #1 album in the US and has sold over 527,000 copies during its debut week. This is the American Idol alum’s first #1 album and also bested her previous effort ‘Some Hearts’ which sold 315,000 units in its first week.

Her record sales is also the best sales week for a female country artist since Shania Twain’s ‘Greatest Hits’ release back in November 2004. Carrie’s debut is also double what Kelly Clarkson’s ‘My December’ CD sold in its first week.

What a weird coincidence, Duran Duran’s new video “Falling Down,” which was co-directed by Justin Timberlake is about a young star who is forced to go to rehab against her will and loses it. If this is about Britney I think this is quite low from J.T. I mean no one can argue that Britney is at a low point in her life. People can be judgmental of her, but it really is uncalled for from someone who said that he once loved Britney and that he wanted to help her through her tough times. I mean after Cry me a River Britney never said anything and took the high road (if cheating rumors were true she deserved the dissing), but it’s been YEARS, get over it Justin. JT could have been way classier and not jump in with all the haters. If you are such a creative artist stop taking cheap shots. Why is justin so obsessed with Britney. he says how he hates the press being all over his shit than he does shit like this. Leave Britney alone!!!! Why is he taking cheap shots at her? Who the fuck does he think he is?

Chris Brown has ended hip-hop sensation Soulja Boy’s reign at the top of the U.S. pop charts with his new song Kiss Kiss. Brown’s collaboration with rapper T-Pain has toppled Soulja Boy’s Crank That (Soulja Boy), which spent seven weeks at number one. I think Chris Brown is HOT so he should stay him self! And about this toppling thing, well music today is as creepy as these guys themselves. There are just a few good looking males in the music industry and the other just a stinking pigs using a hell lot of perfume to hide that bad odor slipping out from underneath their armpits. Well that’s all that I’d like to these guys, for me the music of the Rolling Stones and other established artist is more fun listening to rather than have some cranked up music make me deaf in the ears.

Gwen Stefani was seen leaving her New York City hotel early Friday morning with her 17-month old son Kingston. This was the day after she attended the Black Ball 2007 which was held to honor the work of Bono for the AIDS movement.

Gwen performed at the event and did a duet with Alicia Keys. Rolling Stone reports that their performance was “an elegiac version of ‘Sunday, Bloody Sunday” which was originally done by Bono’s band U2. The magazine also says the Alicia’s vocals lingered in the air and was long, haunting and elegant.

The song was haunting by itself, now I’m curious how Alicia made it even more so.

Country singer Tim McGraw has hit out at the female fan who grabbed his crotch onstage this summer as “disrespectful.” McGraw was performing alongside his wife Faith Hill on their Soul2Soul tour in Lafayette, Louisiana in July, when one excited devotee reached out to grab his manhood. I understand Faith’s reaction. Unfortunately, it appears that in today’s society there is very little conscience, let alone moral fiber. Good for Faith in standing up for the respect that she and Tim deserve, and Good for Tim in standing by his woman. Just because your life is in the public eye does not mean you are owned by the public. I think Tim should have had her arrested for bodily assault. That would certainly have taught her a lesson. (It’s not too late). I’m surprised she could even get a good grip through those tight jeans/pants he always wears…even still it’s still disrespectful. Faith is too nice, because that girl would’ve gone home with one hand if it’d been me.

Former Stone Roses star Ian Brown has criticized Kylie Minogue’s musical abilities, branding the pop star a “devil doll” The singer claims Minogue is not talented enough to have been awarded the gong for Q Idol at the Q Awards in London on Monday. Is he schizo? He says she’s a devil doll, that he doesn’t find her cute, and that she isn’t one of the great minds making music, then says he LOVES her…but then says he doesn’t think she should’ve gotten an award. If anyone has problems, it’s this guy. You off your zoloft, dude? And though Kylie doesn’t make intellectual music like sting, and U2, etc., she is a great entertainer in her own right. She’s beautiful, and she and her music are fun. Who are YOU, Mr. Johnny come lately, to think you have the right to criticize her? Ok, she just performs fluffy pop, but she’s lasted a long time…and this shows that people do enjoy her AND her music. Let’s see how long YOU will last.

He’s been out of the spotlight of fame since American Idol ended but that doesn’t mean Sanjaya would stop chasing after it.

The American Idol alum was seen in Hollywood a few days ago when he was a guest of honor at the FOX Reality Channel Really Awards. Sanjaya and his hair walked away with the coveted Favorite Loser trophy.

Are we sure that’s an award and not an insult? One person seems to think that it’s an award when a girl was heard shouting that he was the hottest. Please tell me she’s blind or at least, at the brink of being blind.

Scottish singer K.T. Tunstall has vowed never to take drugs after watching the downfall of troubled star Amy Winehouse. The Suddenly I See hit maker insists she’ll never be tempted by illegal substances after viewing recent photographs of Winehouse covered in blood with husband Blake Fielder-Civil following an alleged drugs binge. They all say this kinda thing….just before all the nastiest come crawling out of the closet. Secretly I think all these singers and celebrities have taken drugs at least once even if it were to have a taste of things or to get high to vent out the anger in them. I think KT too knows what drugs are like and has this inner feeling that if someday she falls prey to drugs and gets addicted to drugs them it could harm her career very badly to the extent that making a comeback thereafter would be hard. Look at Britney, she is making so many attempts to resurrect her career but its been bombing at every attempt.

Rocker Courtney Love wants to launch her own perfume - but is worried nobody wants to smell like her. The former Hole front woman also thinks her hell raising reputation might hinder chances of selling a fragrance. She is so right about herself on this thing, she stinks, her music stinks, her hairs stink and so would her perfume if it were ever launched. And if someday the perfume is evolved and hits the market then she shall be the only one going to the stores housing her perfume to buy it. She will take the cab every day and buy the perfume until the last bottle is purchased off the rack and then ask the makers to please stop making it because it is so expensive and gives such a bad smell that she wouldn’t like to use it herself. She will also have to go to a discount mart and ask the vendors to please purchase the bottles that she purchased from the stores and a cheap discount coz she has no idea what to do them those unused bottles. So Courtney if you want to avoid such embarrassment just forget about your own perfume fragrance.

Country singer Mindy McCready has joined the list of jailed U.S. music stars after violating her probation on a 2004 prescription drug fraud charge. The “Ten Thousand Angels” hitmaker has been sentenced to serve a year behind bars in Florida. McCready was handed two more years of probation and 200 hours of community service. Now will someone just think what state the celebrity scene is like today, everyone, just about everyone of these so call stars are facing some kind of charges against them. And what about the prisons in America, there are so many culprits already in their jails and with these celebrities also joining their ranks, is there enough space in these jails to house them with proper amenities. Forget amenities, they should be dumped there in a cell were there are other prisoners as well so living with some of those people will give them an idea that the next they do not want to do anything that brings them back to a cell.

Now that he has been proved this chaps just going keep running his point over and over again till we damn kick his ass and tell him that it’s been six months since the VMAs have been over. Carlos Evans claims, he was paid a $7,500 advance and was promised a cut of the profits, Evans says, but he hasn’t been paid and his requests for a royalty audit have been ignored. Screwed up guy who ever he is, why didn’t he shout so loudly before when he has a lounge in his mouth? What did he think, like they going to come at his house and tell him, ‘hey Evans you did a fanstatic job in that 2003 album, I can’t remember the name of the album but I can remember you, your share of 50 cents as royalty share’. It’s a doggy dog business out there and none’s going to give you your share until you have the tenacity to get what’s yours.

But Stevie all not lost, if you still decide to give up the touring you do and find a man you’d like to stay home with and go shopping for small little thing with then dear make that change life and experience something you haven’t as yet. This is really kind of a weird co-incidence but it just happens to be that when ever I am writing about Lindsay Lohan there is some news that has Paris Hilton too. After getting out of jail this girl has not been in the news for anything and so should it be coz this girl’s got nothing in her to suggest that she is worth a penny. But loves to be seen and written about so how she could possibly manage to keep herself in the spotlight. Isn’t this the weirdest thing you’ve seen in a long time? When I first saw this picture, I thought it was a fluke. But then I could see the point of the two of them being together well coz both of them are pretty much the worst things in their own field, Paris cannot sing, act and Curtis, well he can sing but he has such bad lyrics and such a nasty looking personality that no one would bother if he went past them. Paris is just a person who wants attention even if it meant being in the company of the worst men in town, she’ll be happy just to smile for the camera. These two were at his party for his new album “Curtis” at the Hard Rock last night.

That’s the question everyone in the world including celebrities and fans are asking of Britney Spears, that couldn’t she manage to put one stage performance something that she is know to be strong at, just more time. You want the truth? The Honest truth? Pains pills and/or prescription medication. That’s likely what went wrong. Depression, Post Partum Depression, Pipolar Manic Depression. Britney Spears is almost assuredly mentally ill and her substance abuse is simply an attempt to cover it. She’s an emotionally unstable wreck, propped up on medication just to pay the bills of all the handlers/parasites/enamels that are leeching off of her to the tune of $700,000 a month. This is just like Anna Nicole. It really, really is. Much like Lindsay Lohan, Britney has to get into some fairly serious trouble with the law, without killing herself or someone else in the process. It’s really the only chance she has left. She’s severed ties with all the people who actually care about her and are only listening to her handlers, who continue, of course, to insist to her that nothing’s wrong. At least Lindsay still listens to her family. Britney won’t. This is sad. And tragic. Very tragic

Beyonce recently had an interview with Latina Magazine that has everyone wishing that they could turn back time and just erase her from existence. Beyonce tells the magazine that “I’m just jealous that I wasn’t born Latina. I wish I had been because the culture is so beautiful.” If she’s going to come up with an original thought, maybe she should write it down and read it first. Talk about putting your foot in your mouth.

She goes on to say “I noticed a big difference between speaking to all of the Latino stations and speaking to the pop stations or the other stations. With the Latino stations, there was so much love and everyone is so genuine.”

Where was her mother, Jay-Z or even her publicist when this went on?

Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has hit out at judges of the Mercury Music Prize, insisting the singer was “robbed” of the $40,000 award. They most probably did not want to reward this druggie. Good for them. “She is really well and doesn’t need to go back to rehab”…sure, it would be great if all drug users can get the monkey off their backs so fast. It was not but 2 or 3 weeks ago that she landed in a fight with her husband with him ending up with scratches all over his face and neck when he caught her about to do drugs with a prostitute in their bathroom. Fielder-Civil says, “Amy was robbed. Who knows why they didn’t give her the award. But I was so proud of her for her performance. She’s really well and she doesn’t need to go back into rehab.” He is no better than a piece of sh*t himself and he needs to go to the rehab and this time alone not in the company of Amy.

Britney Spears spent her weekend in Las Vegas, where she has been rehearsing her performance for the MTV VMA’s on September 9th. According to sources, Britney spent all day Friday rehearsing and then that night she went and partied with P. Diddy at Pure nightclub. Hey, now that’s what I like, you work and like Britney rehearsed all day and then when work is done for the day you party hard as well to enjoy and celebrate the day’s work. That’s the culture I have been brought up on and that’s the way I think it should be. No work just partying all the time and killing life without doing anything meaningful and substantial is worthless fun. I’m really looking forward to the MTV VMA’s tomorrow. While I don’t really ever watch MTV and I dislike the majority of the type of people who will be there, I really want to see Britney’s performance.

A New York criminal judge sentenced Foxy Brown to one year in jail on Friday (September 7) for violating her probation multiple times, according to a New York spokesperson for the Department of Probation. The troubled, pregnant rapper received the maximum penalty.

Brown (real name: Inga Marchand) had been in custody at the all-women Rose M. Singer Center at Rikers Island prison since August 22. She was ordered there after violating her probation in two separate incidents (see “Foxy Brown Sent To Jail For Violating Probation”). The violation stems from two separate incidents, Ryan confirmed: Brown’s recent arrest for allegedly assaulting her neighbor with a BlackBerry cell phone and for leaving the jurisdiction of New York without court permission.

In a separate hearing earlier in the day, Brown was indicted on assault charges stemming from the physical encounter with her neighbor.

Spokesman Jack Ryan told that Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson held a “lengthy” hearing in which she scolded the rapper for not abiding by her probation guidelines, which included attending anger-management classes and regular meetings with a probation officer.

Ryan also said Brown failed to report her arrest in the Brooklyn case and a separate infraction in which the rapper changed her primary address from Brooklyn to a New Jersey address without reporting the switch to the probation office.

“She had a [previous] violation and pleaded guilty and got restored to probation [before],” Ryan explained. “So she had a chance. She just didn’t obey a number of conditions. We told the judge that she was not compliant and the judge decided to terminate her probation and place her in jail.”

Ryan confirmed the early hearing in Brooklyn had no bearing on Brown’s sentencing.

It may not have been her summer, but it’s gearing up to be Kelly Clarkson’s December. Although previous plans for an arena tour fizzled in the face of lackluster ticket sales, the pop star is now ready to hit the road in support of her latest album, My December. It has held its own on the charts, despite her label’s concerns that the tracks were too edgy for Clarkson’s fan base. Kelly’s not a consistently good song writer. She’s pretty much up and down. This album would’ve done better had she not been so stubborn about all of the songs being hers. Still, you gotta love her. And her curves, which she steadfastly refuses to abandon despite the increasing media pressure. But also you have to give it to her, if she has to make it to the top and remain there then she has to do what she believes is the right, things might not always work out the way she wants but that’s the only way she can get it right – by being herself.

Remember the video all over television and YouTube of Faith Hill bitching out a concert-goer who grabbed Tim McGraw’s crotch at a concert in Louisiana back in July? Now Hill has finally got something to say about that ugly incident which hit the headlines for quite sometime after that. “I mean, how disrespectful! And plus, it’s like sexual harassment. I mean if a man was to do that to a woman? I mean c’mon.” said Hill. I’m totally agreeing with her that if a man did that to a woman he would be arrested. That woman who did that, whoever she is, needs to class it up a little bit. I wouldn’t want to mess with Faith Hill. She seems pretty ghetto when it comes to her career and her man. But to what extent would fans and these celebs go for a brawl anywhere like it were a street fight.

It’s a good strategic move to leak out some songs especially when you’re trying to build up some hype but when the songs aren’t even on the mediocre level, you might want to think of a better strategy. Britney Spears’ record label has reportedly leaked four songs that won’t even make her album. Simultaneously.‘Everybody’ is the song that seems to be the ‘best’, mainly because is samples the Eurythmics classic ‘Sweet Dreams’. You can never go wrong with that song. The songs ‘Been a While’, ‘Your…’ and ‘Got Me High’ are songs that this world can definitely do better without. They should have been entitled ‘Blah 1’, ‘Blah 2’ and ‘Blah 3’.

Lil Kim was pulled over by police Thursday night due to her car not having a license plate. A source who was at the scene revealed just how crazy the tiny rapper was.

The rapper originally told the cops that the car was a gift from her boyfriend and that the car was sent on a flatbed from California to New York and then told the cops that cars don’t need license plates in California. Who the heck is she trying to fool?

The story then changed when she told police that she was licensed to drive in New Jersey but she unfortunately forgot her license. It turns out, she’s not licensed to drive anywhere.

Lil Kim stayed calm and cool during the whole thing until cameras showed up and she became a loud mess saying that if she was the average person, it wouldn’t be a problem. Yeah, coz cops let unlicensed drivers out on the road.

Britney Spears arrived at the grand opening of the LAX Nightclub at the Luxor Resort & Casino early Saturday morning in Las Vegas, Nevada, albeit, she was two hours late for her appearance. She was reported paid $100K for the appearance and was scheduled to walk the red carpet at about 10PM. At 10:15, word came out that she hasn’t even boarded the plane to Vegas from Los Angeles.

At 12:10AM, Brit finally arrived with about a hundred press waiting for her for interviews and photos. She was about to blow everyone off but someone stopped her and had her pose for cameras. She was then quickly escorted inside where she delivered a measly 2-sentence speech and proceeded to dance to the tunes that DJ AM spun, including her single ‘Gimme More’.
