Rihanna Planning Katy Perry’s Bachelorette Party

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Rihanna is rumored to be planning the bachelorette party for friend and fellow singer Katy Perry before her wedding to comedian Russell Brand. An insider revealed “Katy’s totally excited and keeps telling Russell her party is going to be every bit as wild as any party he and his boys will throw! She and Rihanna have become very, very close. So Rihanna has offered to plan a girls’ getaway and also help out with anything else Katy needs for the wedding.” That sounds so cool that they are close friends! I wonder if Rihanna will have any part in the wedding party.

Rihanna’s Producer Gives Insight to New Album

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Rihanna has talked about the next direction that she will be taking her music in and now, producer Sean ‘The Pen’ Garrett is also talking about working with the 22-year old Barbadian singer. The producer talked to Rap-Up saying “I got a record on Rihanna’s new album. She’s got some surprises. The record I gave her was very, very positive, very big. It’s a f–king smash. I gave her a humongous radio record. It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive. It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo. I made sure that it was bulletproof. It should be a single unless something crazy happens. It’s hot as f–k. I think it’s a record that’s gonna stay on the radio for a long time.”

Rihanna’s publicity stunt

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Hopefully this is not the case but it seems that Rihanna has done something completely out of courtesy. After spending some quality time with Jasmina Anema whom the singer tried to help survive leukemia, after the little girl’s death the Anema family has heard nothing from Rihanna… not even so much as a condolence card. This is what Jasmina’s mother twitted about the matter: “It has been a month since Jasmina’s passing. Still not even a card or text message from Rihanna. Did she use my child for a publicity stunt?” Rihanna’s probably just too busy with her new album… after all, what better way to fend off grief than by burying yourself in work?

The low-down on Rihanna’s boyfriend contiues

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

But it does so in a different direction. It seems that after the recent info on Rihanna’s new boyfriend, Matt Kemp, as being a violent man a representative of his commented that this is not true… and so did a representative of his former girlfriend, Felisha Terrell. This is what the later said about the past of Rihanna’s new boyfriend: “During the course of the relationship there was a restraining order filed by Felisha but it had nothing to do with domestic violence…to be clear, Matt was NEVER physically abusive to Felisha, nor did she fear for her life. The restraining order was subsequently vacated. They both have moved on separately but remain amicable.” Well, this certainly puts Matt Kemp in the clear… but that doesn’t mean he can’t fill in the spot in the orphan nightmares. After all, Rihanna is a very imaginative artist.

Madonna Performs on Haiti Telethon

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Tonight’s Hope for Haiti telethon is already scheduled to include a huge list of celebrities to help spread awareness and ask for donations. A few of them will even be performing, such as Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Jay-Z and Bono. Now, it’s being said that Madonna will also be taking part in the fundraiser. The Queen of Pop will perform later tonight during the live telethon. There’s no word yet on which song the singer will perform and I can’t wait to find out. Don’t forget to tune in and donate. If you don’t have anything to spare, helping spread the words to your friends is enough help.

Rihanna’s sleepless nights

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

It seems Rihanna is unable to sleep lately… and it’s because of the tragedy that befell Haiti not more than a week ago. This is what Rihanna said about her lack of sleep lately: “Often in a tragedy like this, it’s the children who suffer the most. They have no way to get food, they’re helpless. The children are the future. I want everybody to do what they can right now. But it’s what’s going to happen six months from now that’s really going to count.” That’s been the fate of children in civil war torn African countries for the past few decades… yet Rihanna has had no sleep problems regarding those poor souls. She probably has nightmares in which a red-horned Chris Brown is chasing the orphans around with a stick… that might be what’s keeping Rihanna awake at night.

Rihanna’s New Man

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

It seems that Rihanna has a new man in her life and the singer has moved on from all the musicians as she’s now dating a major league baseball player. The Barbadian babe has been said to be dating LA Dodgers’ Matt Kemp and even invited the outfielder to join her in Abu Dhabi for her New Year’s Eve performance. Sources say tha the two are getting all serious and that Rihanna absolutely adores Matt because he’s “such a gentleman” and “super sexy”. She got the best of both worlds right there! Here’s to hoping that he stays that way and not turn into a douche bag.

Rihanna’s alter ego

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

The singer recently admitted that she does have a dark-side too that loves to take risks and be naughty. This is what Rihanna said on the matter: “I’m a bad girl and I like dangerous stuff!” And yet, that didn’t stop her from taking the whole Chris Brown incident so badly… it’s not like that was the safest thing Rihanna has done until now. As the old saying goes: if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. This probably has something to do with those so-called metal influences on her new album… Rihanna is probably just trying to play it hardcore for a while.

Rihanna speaks about her latest release

Friday, November 27th, 2009

And why wouldn’t she? Rihanna’s probably exhausted any other subject there was left, why not talk about her latest album, especially since she just had her release party. This is what Rihanna had to say about her new album: “This album is an expression of all those feelings that I went through in the last eight months, just different emotions. All of it isn’t angry, all of it isn’t dark and sad, ’cause I didn’t go through that the whole time. That was part of it. It was really a roller-coaster, and you get that when you’re listening to the album.” But it’s incomplete! The record company didn’t let Rihanna put in any metal parts… how can there be any feeling to it without metal?

Rihanna’s ready to hop into the sack

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Looks like Rihanna is really sending out a message to all potential suitors. After opening up recently and admitting how disastrous the events in February were, Rihanna is over all of her previous problems and is ready to have fun again. When asked about what it takes for her to be impressed, Rihanna said the following: “He has to be good in bed and the size matters. You know what I mean? The inner beauty counts as well, but without a toy it doesn’t make it fun. Right now I don’t want to have a serious relationship, I want to have fun.” Well… isn’t Rihanna going down the treacherous road of denial? Oh well, there’s sure to be some well endowed man out there who can make her forget all about it.

Rihanna is Glamour’s Woman of the Year

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Rihanna recently made a public appearance in New York when she accepted the Glamour Woman of the Year Award. After a touching video showing clips of the singer’s career and volunteer efforts, the Barbadian beauty took to the stage to accept her award. She said “It was a real honor to be named Glamour’s Woman of the Year, especially because I think of myself as just becoming a woman. I just turned 21 this year. Just to be mentioned in this group of women is overwhelming. I love being a part of a night where we’re celebrating women and such strong women.” Rihanna also took time to thank several people, including her record label, Jay-Z, her mother and her grandmother.

Mariah Carey Talks Abuse

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Mariah Carey revealed on Larry King Live that she has also been affected by abuse in relationships. Are we sure she’s not just riding the coattails of Rihanna’s interview regarding the assault Chris Brown put her through? The curvaceous singer said “Abuse has several categories. Emotionally, mentally, in other ways. I just think you get into a situation and you feel locked in — if your situation is similar to one of the situations I’ve been in, which I won’t harp on. For me, to really get out, it was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life.” She’s talking about Sony Music exec Tommy Mottola.

Rihanna admits mistake

Friday, November 6th, 2009

The singer recently admitted that going back to Chris Brown after he beat her up was a big mistake. Rihanna said the following in regards to this: “I was so far in love, so unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong. But again … I’m a human being, and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal.” She actually went back? What kind of sane person does that anyway? Issues, Rihanna, issues… consult your local psychiatrist for more info. Who knows, he might just have the perfect prescription drug for you!

Rihanna speaks to Glamour

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

She just couldn’t hold it in any longer, could she? Well, she did make it on the front cover. It seems that even though a talk about “the event” with Rihanna was promised for Thursday morning, the singer took the opportunity to spill her guts in Glamour magazine where she did an interview in which she talked about the whole Chris Brown-related incident. When asked about how it had changed her, Rihanna replied the following: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.” Yes, woe unto the fans of Rihanna for now they have to put up with her not-so satisfying new music. Chris Brown definitely managed to really hit a soft spot there!

Jennifer Aniston ‘gives Rihanna advice on men’

Friday, October 30th, 2009

SPL76831_001

Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has reportedly grown close to singer Rihanna following the singer’s assault ordeal.

It is claimed that Aniston, 40, has been advising the 21-year-old about men following Rihanna’s assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who was given five years probation for the attack.

It is claimed they met through their mutual friend Oprah Winfrey and they recently met up at the Greenwich Hotel in New York.

Movie producer Ray Manzella, a friend of Aniston’s, said: “Jen has her fair share of imperfect relationships but not one of those men was ever disrespectful to her physically. No one would dare lay a hand on her because they know they just couldn’t get away with it.

“Hopefully that will rub off on Rihanna. She needs someone who can set the example that no woman should be treated with anything less than respect. I think Jen’s the one to do that.”

Rihanna is a Cruise Ship Act

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

To celebrate the debut of the world’s largest cruise ship, Rihanna will be boarding the Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas on November 19th for a private concert. I never had an idea that those types of things have a huge draw, considering that they got the Barbadian singer involved. Rihanna will be performing as a part of the big ship’s three night preview voyage, being the first performer on the boat’s Aqua Theater, before the 5400-passenger ship officially sets sail in December. I wonder how much she’s getting paid for this gig. It must be huge. And I can just bet that she’s going to get the best room on the whole ship.

Shakira Gets Sabotaged

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Shakira’s new album ‘She Wolf’ has already been pushed back more than once and now her label has just announced that it will be released on November 23rd and will contain her newest Timbaland-produced single called ‘Give it Up to Me’, featuring rapper Lil Wayne. That’s such a bad move as the Latina singer will now be going up against Lady Gaga’s ‘Fame Monster’, Rihanna’s ‘Rated R’, Adam Lambert’s ‘For Your Entertainment’ and Britney Spears’ ‘The Singles Collection’. Shakira certainly won’t take the top spot up against all of that strong competition. What was her label thinking? This really smells like sabotage to me.

Lily Allen Sings for Chanel

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Lily Allen performed during Chanel’s ready to wear Spring Summer 2010 fashion show last week in Paris, France. The 24-year old British train wreck of a singer and a barnyard band performed a country and western twist to her hit song ‘Not Fair’. Two models even acted like Lily’s back up singer. Hey, if she wants to reinvent her music career, she may have found the answer to that. I wonder if the front row of stars, including Prince, Rihanna and Claudia Schiffer, enjoyed Lily’s performance. Who cares though? It’s not like they were at a fashion show to watch her perform.
