For those of you that aren’t in the know, Ricky Martin’s old band has been revived and re-stocked with new pretty young things and there’s a bad boy among them. One of the new guys, 18-year old Carlos Olivero, was escorted off of a Delta flight in Atlanta after refusing to put away his iPod. An insider says “A flight attendant accused Carlos of having an attitude after she asked him to turn off his iPod in preparation for takeoff. Carlos complied and turned his iPod off, but the flight attendant then demanded he stow it. Carlos showed her again that the iPod was turned off, but he refused to stow it.” The flight crew has control over you when you’re on a plane. It’s best you do what they say.

Latino pop hunk Ricky Martin is stunned he has been awarded a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. The singer will accept the accolade for his contribution to music in California on October 16th. Let me state my view on his Star at Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. He is a fantastic performer and great with the girls as his looks are stunning and his moves on the dance floor make him look like a demigod. But even this does not mean that he deserves a Star, I think looks and fame should not be the criteria to be awarded a star, achievements in one’s career in their respective fields should be the sole and only criteria to be awarded a star. And the fact that Ricky himself is stunned by the adulation shows that he knows that he fully doesn’t deserve it. But now that he has been awarded the star he can be proud of it.
