It seems that Chris Brown is a little distraught about his career lately. The singer has taken to an on-line voice-messaging site called SayNow to complain about how radio stations aren’t playing his songs anymore. This is what Chris Brown’s message reveals: “A lot of radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to.” He also seems to be pleading with his fans to try and help bring him back. What does Chris Brown expect them to do, though, pass out flyers? And the false modesty with the radio thing won’t score him too many popularity points either.

I’m no longer surprised at this type of news and most people don’t even regard this as newsworthy anymore but oh well. Lady Gaga’s latest single ‘Telephone’ has gone to the top spot on the pop radio chart in the United States. For those of you who are keeping count, that’s the singer’s sixth number 1 single in a row! Amazing! Give it up for the princess of pop! Congratulations Lady Gaga! I wonder if she can make it seven in a row once she releases another single. I’m pretty sure she will. It’s not even a question anymore really.

Rihanna has talked about the next direction that she will be taking her music in and now, producer Sean ‘The Pen’ Garrett is also talking about working with the 22-year old Barbadian singer. The producer talked to Rap-Up saying “I got a record on Rihanna’s new album. She’s got some surprises. The record I gave her was very, very positive, very big. It’s a f–king smash. I gave her a humongous radio record. It’s just so infectious. It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive. It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo. I made sure that it was bulletproof. It should be a single unless something crazy happens. It’s hot as f–k. I think it’s a record that’s gonna stay on the radio for a long time.”

Adam Lambert recently revealed in a radio interview that he made out with none other than trashy pop singer Ke$ha. The American Idol alum said “I made out with Ke$ha actually a couple nights ago…She’s really pretty and we were laughing and just started kissing, I don’t know…She was great. It was pretty innocent to be honest with you. I mean, it wasn’t too dirty.” This is Ke$ha we’re talking about. That was dirty by default. If Adam was going to cross over from his being gay from time to time, he could have definitely done much better than Ke$ha.

One of my all-time favorite singer has dropped a new single, which also happens to be a featured song on the soundtrack of the all-star ‘Valentine’s Day’ film. Jewel’s ‘Stay Here Forever’ finds the Alaska native doing what she does best – singing pretty songs with pretty music in in that beautiful voice of hers. An even though her new single is supposed to be a country record, I wouldn’t at all be surprised to hear the song on pop radio too. It’s such a sweet love song. Everyone will have a hard time to not like it or even deny liking it.

Kelly Clarkson revealed in a new radio interview that she has started working on her 5th studio album and says that it’s going to be really different. The American Idol alum also said that she may not have time to write the whole album as she’s going to be on tour to promote her latest album ‘All I Ever Wanted’ until March 2010. That may be a good thing considering she’s made the mistake before with her disaster of an album ‘My December’. It’s good to have others helping the singer because more often than not, they know what they’re doing.

An Irish radio station that ran a skit about the band Boyzone with a groin-waxing riff was slammed by Ireland’s official broadcasting regulator.

The incident was brought to the watchdog’s radar after a listener complained about an RTE 2 FM broadcast last May in which actors posed as band members Ronan Keating, pictured, and Stephen Gately.

The pair debated how to best wax a groin. The listener pointed out that children could have heard the item on a breakfast show. The regulator cited the sketch as inappropriately scheduled at the airtime of 0855 GMT on a weekday.

The station, meanwhile, argued that the segment was within audience expectations. It said the Colm and Jim Jim Breakfast Show was aimed at the 25 to 44 age group. The watchdog rejected the defence.

Miley Cyrus’ management hung up on more than one radio station this past week during phone interviews with the singer actress. The Hannah Montana star has recently taken to her Twitter to try to defend herself. She wrote “Theirs a little drama (of course the world loves it ew.) because apparently i “hung up” on radio stations today and I hate to say thats not true. I am a specific time limit and schedules are set up for specific time frames for each station… if a station goes over time I am IMMEDIATELY connected to the next station. YES, i am sorry if anyone thought I ‘hung up” on them. The peeps at the radio stations r friends we know each other well and have a great relationship. I’m sorry if anything was miscommunicated, taken out of context, or misunderstood.” Why wouldn’t any of the stations try to wrap up if they were nearing the limit?

On her current radio smash “So What,” P!nk gets real once again but this time it’s infused with her trademark humor as evidenced by such funny-honest lyrics as “I guess I just lost my husband/I don’t know where he went/So I’m gonna drink my money/I’m not gonna pay his rent.” Having her ex, Carey Hart, in the Dave Meyers-directed video diffused some of the reaction to the lyrical content. “At first I was kind of irked because everyone was like, ‘Well, wait. I thought the split was amicable and now she’s talking shit about him?! What the @#$%’ It’s hypocritical.’ But once everyone saw the video and saw that Carey was in it, it shut everybody up, which was lovely,” explains P!nk, who collaborated with Max Martin once again for this track. “Carey hadn’t heard the song before he did the video. That’s how much he trusts and loves me. He pretty much just rolls his eyes, throws his hands up in the air, and hugs me. He gets it. He gets me. It’s nice.”

Pete Wentz has hinted he and wife Ashlee Simpson are expecting twins. The Fall Out Boy rocker accidentally let the news slip during an interview on a US radio show when he referred to his unborn baby as “them”.

Pete said: “We’ve been keeping a book so far, like a journal for them – for them when they’re, uh, born.”

The 29-year-old musician then started laughing nervously before wrapping up the interview. Meanwhile, Pete has also revealed he is keen to find out the sex of the unborn child, or children. He said: “I’d like to know the sex of the baby. It would be a bummer if you bought a boy a bunch of pink stuff!”

He also revealed 23-year-old Ashlee is coping well with the pregnancy, adding: “I think any pregnant woman knows it’s a lot of stress on your body, but she’s really healthy and handling it like a champ.”

Pete and Ashlee married in May after dating for two years.

Ashlee Simpson is still out promoting her upcoming album ‘Bittersweet World’. However, I doubt that being drunk on radio is the proper way to do it. She appeared on Hot 99.5’s Kane in the Morning radio show this past week and she was sloshed off her head. She was slurring her words and could barely talk about a tattoo of a flower that she got the night before the radio appearance and she forgot the lyrics to her new single. However, her rep came out with a statement saying that she wasn’t intoxicated during the interview and was just chalking it up to being tired. Whatever you say Mr. PR man.
