Former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta didn’t like living in Nicole Scherzinger’s shadow

Former Pussycat Dolls star Jessica Sutta said she left the band because she didn’t want to live in Nicole Scherzinger’s shadow any longer.

The 27-year-old beauty decided to split from the popular dance group last month and is now planning a solo career.

Asked about the reasons she left, she told Life & Style: “Honestly, I felt like it was time to not live in the shadow of Nicole anymore. It wasn’t a joyful experience.

“I wasn’t feeling like I was growing in the situation. As hard as the decision was, it was something I had to do. Breaking my rib is what sent me over the edge.”

Pussycat Dolls Featuring Nicole Scherzinger

When the Pussycat Dolls’ version of ‘Jai Ho’ was released, it was released under the name of Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherziger, which everyone found a bit odd. Now, they’re preparing for the release of ‘Hush Hush’, a solo song which only Nicole sang on tour in Europe and they’re again releasing it under Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole. Their record label is keeping mum as to why it’s being done as that so fans are left to think for themselves. The main reason people believe is that Nicole has already left the group but is remaining with them until their current business deals are up.

Nicole on Blender Magazine

Pussycat Dolls front woman Nicole Scherzinger is the cover girl for the November 2007 issue of Blender Magazine. And of course, an interview accompanies the cover. Nicole talks about the Dolls, on-screen crushes, her solo album and much more.

Nicole was asked whether she thought the Dolls way of dressing and dancing can be described as naughty or raunchy. She said with much conviction “Never. Never in a million, bazillion, trazillion years. Did you see my face? I didn’t even blink.”

When talking about her solo effort, Nicole said “I need total focus, total concentration, total centering, because this album is everything I’ve been working for my whole life. You get one chance, and this is my chance.”

Her album ‘Her Name is Nicole’ will be dropping in on November 20th.
