This should be a lesson to everyone that you can’t pull a fast one on Janet Jackson. The singer’s brother Jermaine Jackson leaked an untrue rumor that his sister would be joining the upcoming Jackson 5 reunion and that she will be taking the place of their late brother, King of Pop Michael Jackson. According to reports, Janet and Jermaine got into a huge screaming match, which no doubt ended in Janet telling her brother to eff off. Janet’s not a fame whore like the rest of her family. If she’s going to do a tribute for Michael, she’s going to do it in her own way and on her own time.

Michael Jackson appears from beyond the grave to sing a duet with sister Janet in the music video for the We Are The World remake.

The Thriller star can be seen alongside Janet on a split screen as footage from the video of the 1985 original is featured next to the new version.

The duet was an ode to the King of Pop, who co-wrote the song with Lionel Richie. It was also a request from Michael’s mum, Katherine, to have the pair sing together on the new track.

Among the voices in the 81-member choir were Pink, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Nick Jonas, Celine Dion, Wyclef Jean, Jeff Bridges, Vince Vaughn, Barbra Streisand, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Hudson, Jamie Foxx, Will.I.Am, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias, Miley Cyrus, Nicole Scherzinger and Nicole Richie.

The stars gathered together at the Henson Studios in Los Angeles just two weeks ago to record the charity remake in support of Haitian earthquake relief.

The 2010 version of We Are The World was directed by Academy award-winning director Paul Haggis.

All three of Michael Jackson’s kids were set to make an appearance on this past Sunday’s Grammy Awards. However, if you caught the show, only the two eldest, Prince and Paris, showed up along with a couple of their cousins. The kids and their cousins took to the stage to accept the King of Pop’s Lifetime Achievement Award. I’m not sure why the cousins were there but I can only assume that it was for publicity. Prince and Paris spoke to the audience to accept the award in behalf of their late father. However, the ordeal seemed to be too much for their youngest brother with reports saying that he became “overwhelmed moments before his brother Prince Michael and sister Paris took the stage.” Being only 7 years old, that’s pretty understandable.

It turns out that Michael Jackson’s kids didn’t spend the holidays with their grandmother and legal guardian, Katherine Jackson. Instead, they spent Christmas and New Year’s with some family friends all arranged by their nanny Grace Rwaramba. The reason is that Katherine is a Jehovah’s Witness and doesn’t celebrate the holidays at all. A source talked about the visit they got from the late singer’s kids saying “They were extremely happy and they had a great time. It wasn’t a big deal Christmas with elaborate gifts. It was very humble. They seemed fine, well adjusted, they’re doing their school work. They don’t talk about Michael’s death but they do mention him.”

Move over Michael Jackson because Robbie Williams is back with a vengeance! After a very shaky start for his comeback, the former Take That singer reigns supreme once again. Robbie has taken the King of Pop’s crown as king of the current European charts. Robbie’s ‘Reality Killed the Video Star’ has reached number one in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Holland. Even though the song didn’t reach the top of the mountain in his native Britain, I’m pretty sure there are more hits in his future. Unless he decides to go back on tour, gets fat, goes to rehab and knocks another screw loose.

Introducing Orianthi, the guitar phenomenon who is featured prominently in the upcoming Michael Jackson concert documentary, This Is It. Already a renowned musician, Orianthi has been playing guitar since the age of eleven and was discovered by legend Carlos Santana. After playing with artists like Carrie Underwood, ZZ Top, and Prince, she received a MySpace message from Michael Jackson’s musical director asking her to audition for his comeback tour. Following a test run with the King of Pop himself, she was selected as his lead guitarist for his O2 arena dates in London – a crowning acheivement for the 24 year old from Adelaide, Australia.

Now Orianthi is preparing to release her solo debut album, Believe, on October 27th. In addition to her talent at guitar, Orianthi has a gorgeous voice and even sang at Michael Jackson’s Staples Center memorial service. Even before starting rehearsals for his tour though, she was hard at work writing and recording the album with her band. Believe is full of anthemic rock tracks with a sound reminiscent of Paramore or Evanescence, but entirely Orianthi thanks to her signature shreds and thunderous hooks. Her first single, “According to You” is a catchy tale of an ungrateful boyfriend, featuring a killer guitar solo.

Jermaine and La Toya Jackson led the tributes to their brother Michael at the MOBO Awards 2009.

Older sister La Toya introduced the acts performing in memory of the King of Pop who died in June.

They also accepted the MOBO lifetime achievement award on his behalf.

She said: “My little brother was the biggest star the music world has ever seen. He was the biggest artist of all time. Transcending all barriers, may they be social, racial or generational, he inspired, shocked and amazed with equal measures and he continued to dare all of us to build and build a bigger dream.

“There will never ever be another person like him ever.

“He lived on through his video, he lived on through his movies, but above all, and most importantly, he will live on through his music.

“So please, please if you will, take the time to join me and everyone else for this legendary pop idol of the world, the king of pop, Michael Jackson.”

Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Shaheen Jafargholi led the tribute followed by dance troupe Diversity.

Jermaine Jackson then sang a rendition of Smile in honour of this brother.

At the end of the song he said: “I love you Michael.”

La Toya added: “It’s so funny because Michael always said smile no matter what, no matter how much pain you’re in, smile. Jermaine did it.”

Legal documents were recently released regarding the allowance that Katherine Jackson and Michael Jackson’s children would be receiving while his estate is probated. The documents state that the Estate assets “consist of real and personal property exceeding $500 million”. The amounts are subject to change but the late singer’s mother and his three kids will be getting an allowance each month until the estate is probated, which could take 1 or 2 years. The family allowance for the King of Pop’s kids is $60,000 per month and his mother will be receiving $26,804 per month. That sure beats the $10 weekly allowance that most kids their age probably get.

Fresh off of her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in which she did a tribute for her late brother, the King of Pop Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson has dropped a new single. The song is called ‘Make Me’. I like it but I don’t love it. There’s nothing very special about the song but I do like it. I commend her for keeping at it though. The singer has released the new song herself as she is currently a free agent without a record label. You can get the song by downloading it off of her official website.

Law enforcement source are saying that Michael Jackson’s homicide investigation is focused on only one man – Dr. Conrad Murray. It has been reported for weeks that the other doctors of the late King of Pop have been scrutinized by law enforcement and the LA County Coroner’s office but that Dr. Murray is the only person in their crosshairs in the investigation. As for the other doctors who prescribed drugs to the singer, they are by no means in the clear. There are still investigations going on for fraudulent prescription practices as well as prescribing to an addict. I hope they get progress soon.

Michael Jackson’s close friend and confidante Dr Susan Etok has written a letter to President Barack Obama calling for stricter consequences for doctors who “over-prescribe and mis-prescribe”.

The British doctor has already revealed how the King of Pop wanted her to be the surrogate mother for his fourth child and begged her to help him get a cocktail of drugs to help him through his O2 concerts.

The 32-year-old, from Luton, Bedfordshire, told Entertainment Tonight: “I wrote to President Obama requesting that there were harsher measures against people found to over-prescribe and mis-prescribe.

“Due to his vast wealth and celebrity status, Michael was the victim of manipulation by means of his addiction.

“It is my belief that no individual doctor is responsible for Michael’s death, rather, a catalogue of doctors who were enlisted or aided by a collection of organisations that had an interest in Michael’s finances.”

Everyone deals with grief in different ways. The way that the Jackson brothers came up to deal with grief is to have a mediocre reality show documenting their sorrow over losing their brother Michael Jackson. A&E has agreed to a series about the Jackson family, one that has been pitched several times before, but never came to be. The original concept was more of a reunion show between the brothers and the King of Pop but Michael wanted nothing to do with it. While the show is not set in stone yet, the pilot episode is said to be released within the month, probably in hopes to catch whatever hysteria remains over the untimely passing of the singer. This just seems so uncomfortable to me.

Dr. Conrad Murray says that he didn’t have a clue that Michael Jackson had unusual problems when he signed on to be his doctor. The suspicious doctor, in a statement to CNN made through his publicist, said that he didn’t know what drugs the late singer was taking or whether he was addicted when he took the job. The publicist also said that Dr. Murray had no way of knowing, other than accepting the King of Pop at his word if he was taking drugs. No way of knowing? Michael’s body was found with multiple injection sites, including ones on his neck! And he’s a doctor! He should know!

Some of Michael Jackson’s memorabilia is missing and the cops are on the case. The singer was in a prolonged legal dispute with Henry Vaccaro who got a judgment against the King of Pop in the 90s that Michael never paid. As a result, the guy ended up with memorabilia, including 60 unreleased master tapes which contained 26 of Michael’s songs that have never been heard by the public. The dispute was recently ended when Vaccaro agreed to give 8 items that Michael wanted back. When two of the singer’s lawyers went with Vaccaro to retrieve the items in a storage locker in Las Vegas, 114 items were found to be missing including the 8 items that Michael wanted. I wonder where they went.

Katherine Jackson and Debbie Rowe have recently reached a custody agreement for the children of Michael Jackson. The late King of Pop’s mom will have custody while his ex-wife will be allowed visitation. But while we all thought that it was drama free and all done in the kids’ best interests, it turns out that something more dubious went on. Debbie has apparently forgone the custody in exchange for spousal support payments which total to $4 million. While the late singer’s brothers and lawyers were reluctant to adhere to Debbie’s demands, Katherine made the executive decision to give her the money to put the whole thing to rest and avoid putting the kids in front of the media.

Britain’s Got Talent star Shaheen Jafargholi has said he “felt quite sad” performing at Michael Jackson’s memorial service.

The 12-year-old lad sung a rendition of Jacko’s track Who’s Lovin’ You at the memorial service at the Staples Centre that was broadcast around the world to billions of people.

Shaheen admitted he was nervous before performing but he lost his nerves when he started to sing.

He said: “When I opened my mouth to sing, I was fine. When I sing I go into a totally different world. I feel invincible. I feel nobody can touch me and i can do whatever I want to do.

“It wasn’t until I’d finished that I realised what I’d just done. Michael Jackson’s coffin was in front of me. I felt quite sad.”

Michael Jackson fell victim to his own doctors, according to a physician who claims to be his true doctor.

In an exclusive interview with the Sun newspaper, Steven Hoefflin, 79, a plastic surgeon and confidant to Jackson, said he had viewed documents concerning the drugs Jackson had taken.

Moving to confirm propofol was among them, he said: “He was incredibly desperate to get to sleep. I believe the physician Dr Conrad Murray was hired by Michael with the sole purpose of giving him propofol at bedtime. Michael referred to that drug by the name ‘Milk’ as it looks milky.

“I have been told this by the family and, if you know anything about the drug – which should NOT be administered by anyone other than a trained anaesthesiologist and in a clinical setting – this is insane and dangerous.”

Hoefflin said witnesses during the investigation, to which he has been privy, have claimed they saw propofol being administered intraveneously by Murray every night at Jackson’s rented home in Holmby Hills.

Tito Jackson was next in line in the Jackson family to open up about the death of his brother Michael Jackson. In an interview with UK’s Mirror, Tito talks about the King of Pop’s habits, trying to stage an intervention, his scepticism on what the late singer was saying as the truth, Michael’s handlers, the start of Michael’s addiction, on plastic surgery and LaToya’s allegations that Michael was murdered. On the intervention, Tito said “We had to act. It was me, my sisters Janet, Rebbie and La Toya and my brothers, Jackie and Randy. We bust right into the house and he was surprised to see us to say the least. We went into one of his private rooms and had a discussion with him. Some of us were crying. We kept asking him if it was true what we had heard that he was using drugs. He kept denying it. He said we were over-reacting. We also spoke to a doctor and he assured us it was not the situation. He said he was there to make sure Michael was healthy.” He clearly wasn’t.

Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris has been writing letters to her father everyday since he died.

The 11-year-old, who spoke in front of millions of viewers at her late father’s memorial service, has decorated her room with pictures of her dad.

She has written him notes everyday since his death.

Jackson’s sister La Toya said: “She wears Michael T-shirts every day and the walls of her room are covered with posters and pictures of her daddy.

“She still writes him letters every day, sweet lovely letters about how much she loves him.

“Her letters are brilliant. When you read them, you cry.”
