Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne Get Proactiv

It was announced recently that Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne will be the latest celebrities to lend their famous faces to Proactiv. The singers, both 25 years of age, will have their commercial spots for the acne solution premiering on TV this month. Also joining in on the campaign this month is ‘The Office’ actress Jenna Fischer. Past celebrities who have appeared on Proactiv commercials include singer Mandy Moore, actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and Dancing with the Stars cutie and country singer Julianne Hough. Funny, I didn’t think any of them had any problems with acne. Oh well, a face is a face.

Mandy Moore Covers Shape

Mandy Moore is featured on the January 2010 cover of Shape magazine. The 25-year old singer and actress shared her to do list of lifestyle changes with the fitness magazine. She talked about making use of a nearby farmers’ market, saying ““[Husband Ryan Adams] is an amazing cook, and there’s a farmers’ market about a mile from our house. I love the idea of getting up early on Sundays and walking to the market to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s a good way to start my day, and it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something before other people are even awake.” Mandy also said that she’s learning how to play guitar, saying “I can plunk out enough chords to write a song, but I’m completely afraid to play guitar in front of other people. It’s a fear of failure, I guess. I’ve started and stopped lessons a million times, but I’m less likely to cancel or make other plans if I’ve made the commitment and am paying someone.”

Mandy Moore Covers Women’s Health

Mandy Moore is featured on the cover of the July/August 2009 issue of Women’s Health. In the accompanying interview, the 25-year old singer opens up about her recent marriage to rocker Ryan Adams, her upcoming album and her unexpected good girl gone bad behavior. She talked about some misperceptions about herself saying “I understand people have preconceived notions of who I am or what I do. But I do find it bizarre that people find it bizarre that I’ve grown up!” FYI, she has a tattoo on her foot that is, as she says, of a baby sperm. Why she chose that, I have no idea.
