Eight supermodels including Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell have stripped off for magazine.
The new issue of LOVE magazine has eight different covers featuring a different model on the front in the same position and featuring their measurements.
The girls include Moss, Campbell, David Walliams’ fiancee Lara Stone, Natalia Vodianova, Amber Valletta, Jeneil Williams, Kristen McMenamy and Daria Werbowy.
The magazine’s editor, Katie Brand, said: “For this issue of LOVE, we took eight women who are generally acknowledges as the most beautiful in the world, got them to show off their bodies, widely regarded as the most perfect in the world – and photographed them all in exactly the same position.
“We did this to show how much they differed physically from one another, which is why we also printed their measurements. The point is that perfection is not fixed, timeless or transcendent. It varies, as the measurements of our cover girls show.”
Tom and Bill Kaulitz from the German band Tokio Hotel are featured on the cover of the February 2010 issue of GQ Germany which hit stands yesterday. The 20-year old twin musicians shared how much of a connection they have with each other with Bill saying “We’re like one person with four ears”. Another publication also recently got to talk to Bill and asked what his worst habit is. The singer said “I am a bit of a control freak. That is my most obvious negative trait, but at the same time it’s also one of my best traits. It goes both ways.”
Christina Aguilera is featured on the cover of the February 2010 issue of Marie Claire. The 29-year old singer turned actress talked to the magazine about maturing in showbiz, motherhood and music. She said “I had a really hard time being light before. I’d get a little weird about it being too cliché. My first record was very clichéd pop – what everyone else wanted. [My second album Stripped] inspired by a lot of pain. [My third, Back to Basics,] /still had some sort of relation to my past. [My new album] is just about the future – my son in my life, motivating me to want to play and have fun.”
Mandy Moore is featured on the January 2010 cover of Shape magazine. The 25-year old singer and actress shared her to do list of lifestyle changes with the fitness magazine. She talked about making use of a nearby farmers’ market, saying ““[Husband Ryan Adams] is an amazing cook, and there’s a farmers’ market about a mile from our house. I love the idea of getting up early on Sundays and walking to the market to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables. It’s a good way to start my day, and it makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something before other people are even awake.” Mandy also said that she’s learning how to play guitar, saying “I can plunk out enough chords to write a song, but I’m completely afraid to play guitar in front of other people. It’s a fear of failure, I guess. I’ve started and stopped lessons a million times, but I’m less likely to cancel or make other plans if I’ve made the commitment and am paying someone.”
It’s not like anyone else could have taken the title from him but Adam Lambert has been honored in the new issue of Out magazine as the Breakout of the Year and he tells the magazine that he’s doing the best that he can when it comes to his career and fame. The singer talked about being a performer and taking on American Idol, saying “I’ve lived in L.A. for eight years. It’s about making a good TV show. I just wanted to be really careful that it didn’t turn into a fucking pageant. I can sing my face off. All this other stuff is part of a personality, a persona.”
She just couldn’t hold it in any longer, could she? Well, she did make it on the front cover. It seems that even though a talk about “the event” with Rihanna was promised for Thursday morning, the singer took the opportunity to spill her guts in Glamour magazine where she did an interview in which she talked about the whole Chris Brown-related incident. When asked about how it had changed her, Rihanna replied the following: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.” Yes, woe unto the fans of Rihanna for now they have to put up with her not-so satisfying new music. Chris Brown definitely managed to really hit a soft spot there!
Jessica Simpson is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Glamour magazine. In a pre-break up interview, the failed country singer discusses Tony Romo, her divorce, the legacy she’s like to leave behind and a few other things. The girl either has a sixth sense or she already knew that her relationship with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was over. She said “I don’t regret anything I’ve gone through…. I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that my life, as it is now, doesn’t change. I’m very happy and comfortable—it’s a great place to be in. If this article comes out and we’re not together, I’d still love [Tony], and he’d still be a huge part of who I am today.”
Gwen Stefani is featured on the cover of the July 2009 issue of Elle. In one of her photos in the spread, she props up her then 7-month old son Zuma. In her interview, she talks about reuniting with her band and her family. When asked how her priorities have changed from the band to her family, the No Doubt singer said “I wasn’t even married. Now I’m a wife and a mother of two. It’s a really different role. I always referred to No Doubt as a marriage, because that’s what it’s like to be together for so long and go through what we’ve been through. I can’t really have that relationship with them anymore. My priorities are always going to be my husband and my family now. That’s a huge, huge thing.”
Beyonce Knowles is features on the June 2009 cover of Marie Claire. The 27-year old singer showed off some of a few of the 58 costumes Thierry Mugler designed for her world tour. In the accompanying interview, Beyonce was asked about her hit song ‘Single Ladies’. The singer shared “More than anything, the song celebrates being single. It’s like, if you’ve been doing all you can and it’s not happening for you, go out and have you a good old time. Put on your sexy dress and move on. I know I’m stronger in the songs than I really am. Sometimes I need to hear it myself. We all need to hear those empowering songs to remind us.”
Britney Spears takes the December 11 cover of Rolling Stone magazine. USA Today released a couple of snippets from her interview. In a comment about her two sons Sean and Jayden, she also took a dig at her ex husband Kevin Federline saying “Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they’re such special people. But they are starting to learn words like ‘stupid’ and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.”
Madonna is on the cover of the May 2008 Green issue of Vanity Fair. Along with the cover feature is an interview. She talks about adopting her son David from Malawi, the birth of her daughter Lourdes putting her on the road that ended in Malawi and even her favorite children’s books. Basically, she talks about anything and everything under the sun except for her upcoming album ‘Hard Candy’ and that’s coming out by the end of April! Aside from releasing her single ‘4 Minutes (To Save the World)’ which features Justin Timberlake, she’s hardly done anything to promote her album. But considering she’s been on the covers of countless magazines within 3 months, I guess that’s enough hype for her.
Forget Elle and Vanity Fair! The winner of the cover wars is British magazine Dazed & Confused as they are the first publication to get the Queen of Pop Madonna on a new cover and the pictures are said to be just as racy as the ones she did for the other two. If the cover is anything to go by, the results are fantastic! For Dazed & Confused, Madonna teamed up with longtime collaborator Steven Klein. Three magazines, three shoots, three photographers, one theme. Madonna has already begun the media onslaught to promote her upcoming album ‘Hard Candy’ which will be out on April 29.
They’re the cutest thing in the music industry and a lot of people are wishing to corrupt them but alas, the Jonas Brothers will remain pure. Kevin, Joe and Nick all apparently practice abstinence and wear purity rings to prove it. Details Magazine covered the story with a very lengthy article.
The trio wear metal silver bands each tied with a promise that they’ll stay pure until marriage. 15-year old Nick’s ring was made at Disney World. 15-year old Joe’s ring is silver and is adorned with a cross. 20-year old Kevin’s ring is the ultimate oxymoron. He has a punk-rock purity ring from Tiffany as it’s covered with studs.
Grammy-winning country singer, who hasn’t scored a hit lately, LeAnn Rimes puts her best abs on display in a bikini shot on the latest cover of Fitness magazine. Can I just say wow?! She may not be making some good music these days but boy does she have a rocking body!
In an accompanying article, LeAnn revealed the tunes that keep her pumped up as she does her workouts. Her list includes Kanye West’s ‘Stronger’, the Foo Fighters’ ‘The Pretender’, Audioslave’s ‘Broken City’, Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Hurt’, the soundtrack from ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and a few selections from David Gray. That’s some eclectic mix.
Parents who shelled out hundreds of dollars for their girls to see Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus are in an uproar over a possible Miley/Hannah imposter.
According to concert goers, there is a point in the show where Hannah Montana is surrounded by her dancers and then covered with a black sheet. She then slips out a stage door and reenters through a different door. Thing is, it isn’t the real Hannah Montana that comes back.
Instead, according to OK! magazine, a body double comes in while Miley does a costume change. Many who paid high dollar for the concert are upset because they believe they were taken advantage of and treated like fools.
Leona Lewis is on the cover of the February issue of Harper’s UK and she is looking mighty fine! She deserves the front cover of a big magazine because the X-Factor champ’s debut album ‘Spirit’ was one of the top three selling albums of the year in the UK for 2007. The other two favorites were Mika and Amy Winehouse.
Leona is also set to take over the other side of the pond as her album is finally coming out within the next couple of months in the US. Harper’s was bold enough to say that “She’ll break the States without breaking a sweat.” I say, good luck to you Leona!
Fall Out Boy got a total of zero Grammy nominations on Thursday mor
ning and come night time, bassist Pete Wentz showed just how much of a sore loser he was when he pitched a fit at the People magazine Grammy kick off party. Pete continues to be a sourpuss when he made a post on the band’s official blog.
In the blog titled “got bitterness? vs. a revelation on true connection (and the award goes to)” Pete reveals just how he felt about the lack of nominations but yet being asked to appear and even perform for a kick off party.
But apart from bitterness, Pete actually has a great point about relevance and acceptance in there. It’s a good read.
