It was recently announced that Kelly Clarkson will be joining the Lilith Fair this coming summer along with The Bangles, The Go-Go’s, Dixie Chicks’ Emily Robison and Martie Maguire’s new band The Courtyard Hounds, Martina McBride, Suzanne Vega and several others. The American Idol alum posted her excitement over at Twitter and also shared that she believes that she will be performing for 11 dates on the festival tour. Are you excited to catch the singer on Lilith Fair? I’m quite excited to catch a show but I’m not entirely sure about some of the performers. Oh well, I guess we’ll just see if it’s any good when it gets here.

Kelly Clarkson revealed in a new radio interview that she has started working on her 5th studio album and says that it’s going to be really different. The American Idol alum also said that she may not have time to write the whole album as she’s going to be on tour to promote her latest album ‘All I Ever Wanted’ until March 2010. That may be a good thing considering she’s made the mistake before with her disaster of an album ‘My December’. It’s good to have others helping the singer because more often than not, they know what they’re doing.

The singer recently came out and admitted that she’s working on her next album and it’s going to be different from those before it. This is what Kelly Clarkson said on the matter: “If I end up liking stuff that I’ve done then I’ll include it, but if I like other stuff better I’ll use that. Sometimes you’re just more inspired I guess, and sometimes if you have records that come you really close together it might be more other people’s songs. Because there’s not enough time to write and sing and perform and do everything.” No, doing all that stuff is for those wimpy musician fellows, Kelly Clarkson is in the music industry… she’s an industrial entrepreneur and industrial entrepreneurs don’t have time to make their own music and perform it and all that other crap relating to art!

The track listing for Leona Lewis’ new album ‘Echo’, which will be hitting stores on November 17, has just been released. The singer’s new CD goes ‘Happy’, ‘I Got You’, ‘Can’t Breathe’, ‘Brave’, ‘Outta My Head’, ‘My Hands’, ‘Love Letter’, ‘Broken’, ‘Baked’, ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, ‘Alive’, and ‘Lost Then Found’ featuring One Republic. I can’t wait to hear all of her songs especially her duet with One Republic and her up tempo dance song ‘Outta My Head’ which was written and produced by Swedish hit maker Max Martin who has done songs for Kelly Clarkson and Britney Spears.

The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, has finally announced the dates for her North American ‘All I Ever Wanted Tour’ for the fall of 2009. Here’s to hoping that the singer’s new tour doesn’t fail to sell like her last one. But then again, the last one was in support of a crappy album and this new one is for one that is more successful. It has been announced that Kelly’s opening acts will include The Veronicas and Parachute. It sounds like it’s going to be a cool show. I’m sure a lot of people will catch her show. Unless they claim they’re broke of course.

Demi Lovato is one busy Disney star. The teen singer is currently on tour with David Archuleta but she was able to take some time answer a couple of questions from her fans. Demi was asked “Who is the one person, dead or alive, that you would want to collaborate on a song with and why?” She replied with “Kelly Clarkson because she has been such an inspiration since I was 10 years old.” I think that would be a great collaboration as they pretty much share the same genre of singing. Demi should tell David to get those American Idol connections going.

Last Wednesday, the first ever American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, was spotted in Hong Kong meeting with fans and promoting her music. The singer has been known to fluctuate in weight and she was looking very healthy during that appearance. I wish they opted to promote the whole thing with a more recent picture instead of using her overly Photoshopped album cover. The real thing and the cover look almost nothing alike. I have no problems with her being healthier though. Kelly has once admitted that she suffered from eating disorders but it seems that she’s doing pretty fine without them.

Kelly Clarkson recently shot the music video for her next single ‘I Do Not Hook Up’. She has apparently received an advanced copy of the video which got the 26-year old original American Idol to blog about it. She said “So I just got the video and it’s hilarious! Watching me crawl across a table attempting to be sexy in a fantasy is pretty funny to say the least I hope y’all like it. We had a lot of fun making it! Bryan Barber directed it and this was our second time to work together. He’s super cool and very colorful when it comes to videos!”

Kelly Clarkson has unveiled the cover for her new single ‘I Do Not Hook Up’. She is putting Mariah Carey’s retouchers to shame! There’s a lot of airbrushing going on for her but it looks good so I guess no one should really complain. It’s like a work of art really. ‘I Do Not Hook Up’ is the second single off of Kelly’s latest album ‘All I Ever Wanted’. Greg Wells, Katy Perry and Kara DioGuardi wrote the song. The single is expected to be released on Tuesday, April 14. It’s a nice power anthem that’s sure to be a big hit for Kelly.

The former American Idol winner has revealed a series of unusual habits she has. Kelly Clarkson pees in the shower, an activity to which she commented: “Anybody who says they don’t is lying.” She’s also keen on studying the contents of her mucus after a sneeze, stating that: “I mean, if you have a cold, you have to check to see how sick you are.” And, last but not least: walking naked around the house, which Kelly Clarkson argued to with the following words: “I’m the kind of person who just doesn’t like clothes.” Ok, granted… the first one is normal and it is perfectly explainable physiologically. The second is a bit strange since the only unusual thing you could see in your sneezing tissues is blood which would mean you’re in very, very bad shape. But walking naked around the house? Sounds to me like more of a “mating dance” than just the effect of not liking clothes.

Kelly Clarkson is officially crawling back to the people that made her who she is by reselling out and hitting up an American Idol event at Disney World. The original American idol champ once dissed the show and Clive Davis in the past but she has since joined the other six winners and a slew of losers from the show for the debut of the ‘American Idol Experience’ at Disney World in Orlando last week. The ‘American Idol Experience’ is a 365-day a year dream-crushing extravaganza for all the wannabe singers at the part. I doubt that getting your spirit crushed at the place where dreams supposedly come true is appropriate.

Kelly Clarkson may have the number one song in the country but tickets to her concert are being knocked down by 50% and all you have to do to get them is to fly to the Bahamas and pay for four nights of hotel accommodations. Even resort hotels like the Atlantis are feeling the effects of the economic crisis so they’re trying to lure vacationers by slashing prices to the original American Idol’s February 14th concert. If they really wanted you to vacation there, they should have just slashed their room rates and not let Kelly suffer in the deal. Why her camp agreed to this, I don’t know.

People has provided a preview of Kelly Clarkson’s music video for her latest single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’. A sneak peek of the video has even premiered on the January 28 showing of American Idol. After that preview, fans were able to watch the full-length video for 24 hours on the following AT&T platforms: AT&T wireless via texting ‘KELLY to 8008, AT&T U-Verse via Video on Demand and all fans were able to catch it online at ATT.net. I wonder when the official premiere will be. Kelly looks great in the picture don’t you think? I think she lost a bit of weight too.

Kelly Clarkson has released the artwork for her new single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’. It looks like it’s been edited a whole lot but I still think it looks hot. And it’s a start contrast to the publicity images of her last album ‘My December’. From dark and brooding to blonde, red and shiny. I think she’s embracing the pop whole heartedly this time around. Thank the heavens for that! I sure hope that the original American Idol will make a great comeback. Apart from the temporary moment of insanity of hers known as ‘My December’, she’s really a great singer.

Kelly Clarkson has a new video blog up. The 26-year old singer recorded the video message straight from the photo shoot for her upcoming single ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’ which is coming off of her new fourth studio album. The album is rumored to be released on March 17, 2009. The song is set to be officially released to radio on the week of January 19, 2009. I’m expecting a leak to come out before that. Kelly is the next comeback kid we’re all waiting for after Britney made her successful return. Kelly also has a new official website at KellyOfficial.com.

Washed up American Idol champ Kelly Clarkson was recently spotted enjoying the company of two bunnies at the Playboy Club in the Palms Hotel, Las Vegas. Who knew that having a flop of a record will do that to you? If things with Samantha Ronson don’t work out, Lindsay Lohan should totally hook up with Kelly. The singer is already starting to look the part of a lesbian lover anyway. What the heck has she let herself get down to? Someone needs to do an intervention and get her back to her glamorous self! Get her away from those bunnies!

Vanessa Hudgens has received the first review of her sophomore album ‘Identified’, which comes out on July 1, from Entertainment Weekly. Vanessa said of the album that “[The album] is definitely sophisticated. But it’s also funky and fun–something that I would, like, actually listen to.” I’m not sure who really reviews the album here. Of the three tracks EW listed, most of the reviews of the songs came pretty much from Vanessa herself. The songs they heard were her first single off the album ‘Sneakernight’, the Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson, Pink) produced sassy anthem ‘First Bad Habit’ and the stripped-down ballad ‘Gone with the Wind’.

Kelly Clarkson recently talked about having four of her unfinished songs leaking onto the internet saying that it “sucks”. The four songs – ‘Close Your Eyes’, ‘Ready’, ‘One Day’ and ‘With a Little Bit of Luck’ – all have varying sound quality which indicates that they’re unfinished and at different stages of the recording process. Of the leaks, Kelly says “I write all the time – lots of stuff not meant to ever be released, just working on ideas. The fact that people have heard music that’s not ready yet sucks, but I hope they like it!” For the sake of her career, I hope a lot of people like it too.

Kelly Clarkson arrived at the 9th annual Motorola anniversary party in Los Angeles on Thursday. The American Idol alum was there not as a simple guest but a performer. She performed a 12-song set which included some of her more loveable hits, namely ‘Breakaway’ and ‘Since U Been Gone’.Her performance also included some of her newer songs, which by the way, cannot be classified as hits. But honestly, I’d rather not talk about it. It honestly pains me.

But for those that still choose to believe in her, look out for her on Monday night when she performs at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle.

It may not have been her summer, but it’s gearing up to be Kelly Clarkson’s December. Although previous plans for an arena tour fizzled in the face of lackluster ticket sales, the pop star is now ready to hit the road in support of her latest album, My December. It has held its own on the charts, despite her label’s concerns that the tracks were too edgy for Clarkson’s fan base. Kelly’s not a consistently good song writer. She’s pretty much up and down. This album would’ve done better had she not been so stubborn about all of the songs being hers. Still, you gotta love her. And her curves, which she steadfastly refuses to abandon despite the increasing media pressure. But also you have to give it to her, if she has to make it to the top and remain there then she has to do what she believes is the right, things might not always work out the way she wants but that’s the only way she can get it right – by being herself.
