Justin Timberlake and The Flaming Lips

Friday, March 12th, 2010

Wayne Coyne, the lead singer for The Flaming Lips, is trying to get Justin Timberlake to star in the band’s new movie. Justin played the bass guitar with the band during Top of the Pops back in 2003. Wayne is looking to tap a number of celebrities for their follow up to 2008’s ‘Christmas on Mars’. He said “I’m in the process of begging [Timberlake]. If I’m lucky I’ll be able to wear him down in another year. [I want] celebrities to show up and have fun with us for a couple of nights… My only goal was that I didn’t have to build space station-looking sets every time I wanted to have someone say something. This one is set in someone’s house, a backyard and a slaughterhouse; all those are available to me right here.”

Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake’s steamy scenes for new movie

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Former Hollywood couple Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake will be seen in bed together in scenes for their new movie, Bad Teacher.

The pair dated for four years before splitting in 2007 and Timberlake, 29, is now dating actress Jessica Biel.

Timberlake was recently announced as the actor playing Diaz’s love interest in the flick.

Diaz, 37, plays a teacher recently dumped by her boyfriend, who sets her sights on landing a date with a fellow teacher at her school, played by Timberlake.

According to Life & Style, the script sees the pair get quite steamy in a hotel room alone together.

Timberlake’s character ends up in a passionate clinch on top of the star but when he gets too excited, their liaison ends before they’d wanted it too.

He then rolls off her and says: “That was a mistake.”

She replies: “That was fast.”

Justin Timberlake Talks Harvard

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Justin Timberlake received his Hasty Pudding Pot Man of the Year award at Harvard University last week. The 29-year old singer/actor was roasted during a performance of the Hasty Pudding Club theatricals, the oldest college theatrical group in the nation. Justin, who is starring in the upcoming movie ‘The Social Network’ expressed his disappointment that the university didn’t let them film on their campus. He said “I would like to point out that Harvard did not let us film at Harvard. My director dared me to do that. It’s actually really interesting to be here because I just wrapped the film, and Harvard was such a great part of the story of how Facebook came to be.”

Esmee Denters In The Studio With Justin Timberlake

Friday, May 1st, 2009

A mere two years ago, Esmée Denters was just a pancake house waitress with a webcam and a dream. An aspiring singer who fell in love with her father’s Stevie Wonder albums as a child, Esmée was 17 when she began posting videos of herself on YouTube singing her favorite hits by Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, P!ink, and Natasha Bedingfield.”I had seen all these videos of amateur singers, which gave me the idea,” she says. “I was just interested in what other people thought of my voice.” Within nine months, Esmée’s videos had racked up 21 million views, and she became the number one most-subscribed musician in the history of the popular video-sharing website.

Esmée’s clips soon caught the attention of Justin Timberlake – one of her musical idols – who was drawn to her silky, soulful voice, natural charisma and songwriting talent. He then signed her to his label Tenman Records, an imprint of Interscope, and began executive producing and co-producing the majority of her debut album. They lined up an impressive list of noted songwriters and producers to collaborate on the project including Polow Da Don (Usher, Ciara), Stargate (Rihanna, Ne-Yo), OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder (Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield), and Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie). The result is an edgy, soulful pop-R&B set that Esmée says truly reflects who she is as a person.

Relatability was something that was important to Esmée on her debut outing, which is why she was thrilled for the opportunity to co-write the majority of the songs. Her first single, “Outta Here,” sends a message of female empowerment through a hybrid of urban beats, pop lyrics and rock attitude. Sneak a peek into the studio to learn more about the Dutch beauty when she recorded the track with Justin Timberlake and Polow Da Don.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel on Saturday Night Live

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel made a surprise appearance during the Weekend News Update during the March 7th episode of Saturday Night Live. Justin played Irving, the boyfriend of comic-strip character Cathy, played by SNL comedian Andy Samberg. Jessica played the voluptuous femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, a character from ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’. Now that the couple has a place in New York, I’m thinking Justin’s surprise appearances may come more often. He should probably be listed on the cast. Later that night, the couple attended the saturday night live after party at Salute! restaurant in New York City and were seen leaving the party holding hands.

Justin Timberlake tops GQ’s most stylish men list

Friday, February 20th, 2009

Justin Timberlake leads the list of GQ Magazine’s Most Stylish Men in America. This fashion honor has been bolstered after William Rast’s fashion event which was held during the New York Dall 2009 Fashion Week. Timberlake and partners Marcella, Trace Ayala and Johan Lindeberg were able to showcase their classic denim and leather designs during the show. The fashion show was well-attended by celebrities led by Timberlake squeeze Jessica Biel. Playboy celebrity Aubrey O’Day, Anthony Anderson, Gerard Butler and Emile Hirsch were also there.

Publicity material distributed to the audience during the show indicated that the William Rast Show is an expression of a bold direction for New America. The collection derives inspiration from the Thelma & Louise and Rumble Fish American Classic Movies. The designs featured slimming silhouettes and confident shoulders. The show was a success in more ways than one because it went off without a hitch except for the no-smile appearance on the crooner’s face. Must be the jitters, huh?

Stunning Justin Timberlake rocks Grammy Awards night

Monday, February 9th, 2009

The stellar career of Justin Timberlake is good enough to make any other musician/artist envious of him and there is no doubt that he is a crowd puller wherever he goes. Sunday night at the Grammy Awards gala event was no different, from the time he stepped onto the stage the audience couldn’t stop screaming his name till their last breaths.

He arrived at the Staples Center in LA looking at his best dressed in an all black attire and was seen mingling with rapper T.I. while the photogs lapped pictures of the two together. Then came his chance to have a piece of the limelight as he announced Al Green’s performance.

Later Justin shared the stage with Al Green, Boys II Men and Keith Urban for a stunning performance collaboration of the song “Let’s Stay Together”.

This chap is really uber cool and whatever he does with his performances is really a craze that seems will never fade away. He is an awesome performer and I really am a great fan of his.

Beyonce makes the big bucks

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

The pop star has recently been placed at the top of an earnings list in Forbes magazine with rich young people. She topped off Justin Timberlake by making 80 million dollars this year. This is no surprise as she and Jay-Z were also declared Hollywood’s richest couple in a list made up by the same magazine, with earnings of 160 million dollars this year. No wonder there’s so much balance in the economy lately. But of course, who can blame the sums, after all, they do contribute to society in a very essential way, they do deserve compensation.

Rihanna’s Rehab

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

After seeing steamy pictures of Rihanna and Justin Timberlake shooting the video for the Barbadian babe’s song ‘Rehab’, I can’t help but say ‘finally!’. The music video was just recently released. The video was shot last month in Vasquez Rocks Park, just outside of Los Angeles. JT and producer pal Timbaland wrote the song and also contributed backing vocals in the bridge. Anthony Mandler directed this Rihanna video. He has done so for the tenth time! And as usual, it is amazing! Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And his partnership with Rihanna as her director is working pretty damn well.

Fashion Rocks Performers – Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Chris Brown

Friday, September 19th, 2008

beyonce-justin-timberlake.jpg

Some crazy stuff went down at the Fashion Rocks after party at New York’s Rainbow Bar last weekend. According to reports, Justin Timberlake had to dive for cover and dodge punches after his bodyguard tried to grab a mobile phone off a fan who sneaked into the VIP area to snap a picture of the singer. All hell broke loose when the girl’s friends stepped in to help her and glasses flew off tables and shattered everywhere. Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Chris Brown all had to duck for cover as well. The divas were supposedly shrieking in horror as their security teams protected them from the flying debris.

Madonna Interview from Vanity Fair

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

Madonna is on the cover of the May 2008 Green issue of Vanity Fair. Along with the cover feature is an interview. She talks about adopting her son David from Malawi, the birth of her daughter Lourdes putting her on the road that ended in Malawi and even her favorite children’s books. Basically, she talks about anything and everything under the sun except for her upcoming album ‘Hard Candy’ and that’s coming out by the end of April! Aside from releasing her single ‘4 Minutes (To Save the World)’ which features Justin Timberlake, she’s hardly done anything to promote her album. But considering she’s been on the covers of countless magazines within 3 months, I guess that’s enough hype for her.

Madonna’s Album Cover

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Madonna’s Album Cover

Madonna recently released her ‘Hard Candy’ album cover with the Queen of Pop wearing a title belt with ‘M’ on it in front of a lollipop backdrop. It’s very reminiscent of the single cover of her and Justin Timberlake for ‘4 Minutes (To Save the World)’. It looks nice but she can still do better. Madonna also recently unleashed a mystery website called tick-tock.tv to help promote her new studio effort. There are a lot of number fours. ‘Hard Candy’ is expected to drop internationally on April 28 but if the website is a clue, maybe we should expect something big to happen on April 4th.

Justin Timberlake: Model

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Justin Timberlake:

Justin Timberlake is a singer, songwriter, producer and actor. Now, he can add model to his ever-growing resume as he is the new face of Givenchy’s latest men’s fragrance. The President and CEO of Parfums Givenchy Alain Lorenzo says that “Beyond his huge celebrity appeal, we have chosen Justin Timberlake because he is a world recognized trendsetter who redefines modern elegance.” People is reporting that the new Givenchy campaign featuring the very talented Mr. JT will be unveiled in June of this year. I say someone needs to focus more on music and dancing. It’s what he does best. Acting and modeling – leave that to the pros.

Madonna in NY

The Queen of Pop has landed in New York. Madonna was spotted in Manhattan on Monday. The singer has just wrapped a music video in London with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. And yes, Madonna and Justin did a little bit of dancing on the video. That’s going to be hot!

Madonna is taking care of some business meetings in New York. She will be going off to Berlin soon for the premiere of her short film. But back to Madonna music news – the singer’s much anticipated album is expected to drop in April. Finally! It’s coming! I’m so excited, I can’t wait!

Madonna Gets Leaked

Friday, December 21st, 2007

Madonna’s new album isn’t expected to drop until well into the next year but that isn’t stopping Timbaland from leaking one of the songs that he worked on with the Queen of Pop. The producer played ‘4 Minutes to Save the World’ at the Jingle Ball in Philadelphia on Sunday night. I just hope that he got her permission to do so.

The song also features Justin Timberlake and it’s pretty hot. How could it not be when you’ve got all that great talent working on it? I’m also hoping that the finished version has a lot less of Timbaland though.

Is Britney Justin’s Muse?

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Is Britney Justin's Muse?

What a weird coincidence, Duran Duran’s new video “Falling Down,” which was co-directed by Justin Timberlake is about a young star who is forced to go to rehab against her will and loses it. If this is about Britney I think this is quite low from J.T. I mean no one can argue that Britney is at a low point in her life. People can be judgmental of her, but it really is uncalled for from someone who said that he once loved Britney and that he wanted to help her through her tough times. I mean after Cry me a River Britney never said anything and took the high road (if cheating rumors were true she deserved the dissing), but it’s been YEARS, get over it Justin. JT could have been way classier and not jump in with all the haters. If you are such a creative artist stop taking cheap shots. Why is justin so obsessed with Britney. he says how he hates the press being all over his shit than he does shit like this. Leave Britney alone!!!! Why is he taking cheap shots at her? Who the fuck does he think he is?
