Jessica Simpson was recently spotted with ‘The Hurt Locker’ star Jeremy Renner during a cocktail party at Guy Oseary’s house – he’s Madonna’s manager – and it’s been said that the failed country singer and the actor were getting very cozy. Jessica, who lives next door, stopped by the party and a source said that  “Jeremy spent the night hitting on Jessica like crazy They were really flirting up a storm!” Jessica’s best friend Ken Paves encouraged the two of them and the two ended up exchanging phone numbers by the end of the night. I have to admit that they do make a hot pair.

Jessica Simpson is on the cover of the March 2010 issue of Allure magazine where the singer opens up about love, her weight and claims that she has learned nothing from her past relationships. She talked about John Mayer’s influence saying “He didn’t make me go brunette. John doesn’t get credit for making me brunette. He’d like to think so, but he doesn’t deserve the credit.” She also talked about Tony Romo saying “I talked to Tony today. I’m still a fan [of the Dallas Cowboys]. I’m a huge fan. I wear my gear, and I cheer Tony on.” She also talked about other issues and how she wants her privacy. Oh please, for someone who suffers from a lot of issues, she still chooses in the limelight.

Singer Ashlee Simpson likes been settled and doesn’t envy her sister Jessica’s single girl freedom.

The 24-year-old, who is married and has a kid, told Redbook magazine: “Being a mum’s so empowering and incredible. I’m one of those people who believes that life brings things to you at a certain time for a certain reason, and if you just go with it, that’s where the best moments come from.”

Ashlee, who married Fall Out Boy Bassist/lyricist Pete Wentz in 2008, also said that her son Bronx has helped her to mature and her grow up.

She added: “I’ve grown up so much. Your body is changing, and it’s such an amazing time to feel that connection … Being pregnant was the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. Except for the cupcakes.”

On the other hand, her sister Jessica, 29, is free and single but when asked if she envies her, Ashlee said: “I really don’t.”

In a pre-break up interview, the failed country singer discusses Tony Romo, her divorce, the legacy she’s like to leave behind and a few other things. The girl either has a sixth sense or she already knew that her relationship with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was over. She said “I don’t regret anything I’ve gone through…. I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that my life, as it is now, doesn’t change. I’m very happy and comfortable—it’s a great place to be in. If this article comes out and we’re not together, I’d still love [Tony], and he’d still be a huge part of who I am today.”

Jessica Simpson has pissed of more than just the Dallas Cowboys fans. Last week, when she was asked by the paparazzi if she would take back the pricey boat that she bought for her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo, she said “I’m not an Indian giver.” Her loaded response has created controversy and offended Native Americans across the US. The executive director of the National Congress of American Indians explained that the term originated from the idea of native people giving and sharing with one another but that over time, the phrase transformed into a prejudiced phrase that implies Native Americans give and revoke gifts. She said that “most people flippantly use the comment ‘Indian giver,’ without realizing its true meaning…this is both incorrect in the way most people use it, and culturally insensitive to Native people.”

Tony Romo has reportedly instructed his security to keep his ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson out of his gated community.

The 29-year-old Dallas Cowboys quarterback has reportedly made sure that Jessica, also 29, cannot get near his home after he dumped her the night before her birthday.

A sign at the entrance reportedly says: “RED ALERT!!! TONY ROMO HAS MADE SOME CHANGES TO HIS LIST OF PEOPLE ALLOWED IN… JESSICA IS NO LONGER ON THE LIST AND NOT APPROVED FOR ACCESS”

A source has said that Jessica spent $19,000 shipping 37 boxes of her belongings from Dallas to Los Angeles.

Talking about the split, a pal of Tony said: “It’s been a long time coming.”

The singer has great expectations from her upcoming reality TV show, “The Price of Beauty”. Jessica Simpson is quoted as saying the following about the upcoming TV show: “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.” Yeah, reality shows are always wild rides… they wouldn’t really have any audience if they weren’t. You’d never think they were actually directed under these circumstances.

With a plethora of failed careers, who knew that Jessica Simpson still has a large amount of money to her name? She hasn’t had a hit record in years, but somehow the blonde failed country singer was able to purchase a speedboat for boyfriend Tony Romo’s 29th birthday. The boat, a custom 25-foot Malibu Wakesetter was priced at $100,000. According to a source “Jessica knows that Tony has always wanted a boat.” Apparently, Jessica Simpson is hoping that the gift will lead to a marriage proposal “and by this time next year she’ll be walking down the aisle with him.” Maybe she should just buy her own ring and pays for the wedding too.

The album cover for Jessica Simpson’s country effort ‘Do You Know’ has been revealed. Her debut country album will be released on Tuesday, September 9th. The 28-year old blonde bombshell of a singer co-wrote all but three tracks on the disc including her top 20 hit single ‘Come on Over’. It was also recently announced that Jessica will be performing at the Akwesasne Music Festival at the Discount Concert Grounds in Hogansburg, New York on August 29. Let’s hope she does better in that show. Her debut country performance was met with a mix of jeers and cheers, but mostly jeers, last time.

Jessica Simpson performed at her first country show this past weekend. Just as most predicted, things did not go as she would have liked. When the wannabe country singer took the stage at the Country Thunder Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin on Saturday night, she was greeted with a mix of cheers and boos, but mostly boos. The reviews of her performance are less than stellar. One critic says “Many audience members found her attempt to crossover into country irritating and that her vocals lacked a southern sound.” In short, Jessica will be completely out of a career before the year comes to an end.

Jessica Simpson is officially going country once her debut country album ‘Do You Know?’ drops in stores on September 9. Father and manager Joe Simpson told Us Weekly “It’s going to be a great year. It’s 9-9 – she’s into nines this year. We hope it’s a wonderful joy. It feels really good. She is extremely happy.” For the sake of saving what career she may have left, let’s hope so too. Anyway, the music video for her single ‘Come on Over’ debuted on her website (you have to register and log in to watch it) yesterday and will debut on CMT next week.

Jessica Simpson recently talked about her future in country music with Nashville’s Tennessean. The 27-year old blonde bombshell addressed why some people are so against her singing the genre saying “I think just because my name is attached to it. Or maybe they thought that I was just trying to stomp on their ground for a little bit and see what I could do, and then just go back and make another pop record. But I’m planning on making country for the rest of my life, and I don’t want to go back to that other world. It’s a spiritual thing for me, like ‘I know God has a plan and a purpose.’ For the first time in my life, I take a lot of pride in my talent and in the record I was able to put together. With the writers, I felt comfortable opening up, because the only way this opportunity was going to be a great one was to be honest with myself and with them. If I want to be singing it for the rest of my life onstage, I want it to be honest.”

The newest solo country singer Jessica Simpson and her fellow country singing blonde signed autographs at the 2008 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee on Friday. She hasn’t even come out with her country album yet but Jessica’s already being treated as a country singing superstar. Country music fans are so accepting. But kudos does go to Jess as her country single ‘Come on Over’ is doing quite well on the Nielsen charts. She may have finally found something that she’s actually good at. But considering that she’s Joe Simpson’s kid, I doubt it would last. He’s going to make her sell out sooner or later.

Jessica Simpson is blocking reports that her trip to Kuwait to perform for the troops was a big production. Her rep tells People that the singer flew commercial and that she is in fact staying in the barracks with the soldiers. Jess also denies that her trip is more of a fly-by than a visit saying “She’s been with the troops all day. She’s had her meals with them.” As for reports that she had a full-scale entourage of beauty experts with her, her rep says that she has “significantly scaled back her entourage”. And that would mean what – that she left super-stylist Ken Paves behind?
