Jennifer Hudson Smashes Pregnancy Rumors

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Rumors recently started to heat up that Jennifer Hudson was pregnant again, however, the singer/actress is quick to deny that she’s knocked up, especially now when she has loads of big projects coming up. Jennifer’s rep recently issued a statement regarding the matter, saying “Contrary to what has been falsely reported, Jennifer Hudson is not pregnant. Jennifer leaves in April for South Africa where she will portray Winnie Mandela in the feature film, ‘Winnie’. It is a commitment she is excited about and takes very seriously. Jennifer is currently in the studio recording her second album and this is the only delivery she is looking forward to in 2010.” With a new movie and album in the works, she better not be pregnant.

Jennifer Hudson is Crazy Over Christmas

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Jennifer Hudson recently appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and showed off some adorable photos of her son David Otunga Jr. The singer/actress really wants to make her son’s first Christmas to be a special one, saying “I’m going to go crazy. He’s very aware but he’s so young and it’s his first Christmas, so you have to go all-out. I kind of want to get him his own Santa Claus and just have like a toy store in the house, full of things.” That’s really sweet of her but I hope she doesn’t spoil him too much. Hopefully, Jennifer and the rest of her family have a happy holiday!

Jennifer Hudson Talks Son

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

After giving birth to David Daniel Otunga Jr. back in August, proud mom Jennifer Hudson can’t stop gushing about her baby boy. In a recent interview, the American Idol alum said “He’s the cutest thing in the world! There are no words for it. He’s the best. It’s just amazing – us discovering each other, me becoming a mom.” And it would seem that the little guy is already into music, calming down when his singer mom plays music for him. Jennifer said “The other night he was having a fit screaming, and someone turns on the music and he just stops and calms down. And I was exactly the same way as a baby. Sometimes when he cries, I try to harmonize!”

Jennifer Hudson Honors Michael Jackson

Friday, July 10th, 2009

Despite being pregnant, Grammy and Oscar-winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson attended and gave a wonderful performance of ‘Will You Be There (Hold Me)’ at the Michael Jackson public memorial service which was held at the Staples Center this past Tuesday in Los Angeles. The song was released as one of the late King of Pop’s singles in 1993. The song also appeared on the soundtrack to the movie ‘Free Willy’. Michael’s music proves to be timeless and I can only hope that his music will live on and forever be remembered. I actually feel sorry for future generations for not getting the chance to see the master do his thing. Rest in peace.

Jennifer Hudson Postpones Tour

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Jennifer Hudson’s tour with Robin Thicke has been postponed for at least a week because the singer has come down with a nasty throat condition due to over exertion of her priceless vocal cord. Are we sure it’s not because the rumors about her being pregnant are true and she’s suffering through morning sickness? The American Idol alum was a real trooper at this past weekend’s concert in Los Angeles though, hitting all of the high notes during her performance without even a hint of her feeling ill. Unfortunately, Jennifer’s shows in Oakland, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix and Biloxi have been postponed until further notice. I hope she gets well soon so she can be back on stage performing.

Diva Showdown at Jennifer Hudson Concert

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

Jennifer Hudson surprised a lot of concertgoers in Atlanta last Thursday night when she brought out the legendary Jennifer Holliday to join her on a duet of the ‘Dreamgirls’ signature number ‘And I Am Telling You’, which is a song that Holliday originated on Broadway. Diva on top of diva. Hudson does an amazing job on the song on her own but then you add Holliday to the mix and it is beyond spectacular! Holliday completely kills on this song. This could be the only song they sing for a full two-hour concert and I wouldn’t get tired of hearing it.

Performing is like therapy: Jennifer Hudson

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

Jennifer Hudson, who made a return to the world of entertainment with her appearance at this year’s Super Bowl, says she’s found getting back to work to be a healing force in her life.

Hudson appeared live on the episode of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Friday February 27th said “I’m just glad to be back and be back to work again. Just doing what I love to do is like therapy, I’m in a very good place.”

This girl has had to go through a torrid time really and to she the bodies of your own family members is nothing short of traumatic but the way she’s got back to work is really appreciable.

Getting to work and losing yourself to work is a real healer cos’ then you just do not have the time to think of other things as you are focused on work only. She has shown character and my only wish for her is that she can get justice for her dead mother, brother & sister.

Jennifer Hudson is a Diva

After so many fashion mishaps in the past year, I almost didn’t believe my eyes when I caught site of Jennifer Hudson. Can you talk about diva? But apart from all her fashion mistakes, you can’t deny that it has been her year. The American Idol alum won several awards for her role in ‘Dreamgirls’ and she also got to ring in 2008 at the Setai Hotel in Miami Beach.

2008 promised to be just as good for the diva that is Miss Hudson. The entertainer is reportedly returning to her roots of singing by releasing her debut album. Wow! She’s already so accomplished yet she’s just now releasing an album. 2007 was definitely great for her!
