Brandy is Innocent?

It’s been nearly a year since it happened and we now know what the hang-up is in deciding whether to file vehicular manslaughter charges against Brandy. It’s that the singer may have been the victim and not the culprit.

A CHP source says that the woman who died in the car accident involving Brandy actually struck the vehicle in front of her before Brandy even made contact. What’s more, LA County Coroner spokesperson Captain Ed Winter says that toxicology reports show Awatef Aboudihaj, the woman who died, had slight traces of marijuana in her system at the time of the crash.

The one-year stature of limitations for filing charges runs out at the end of the business day this week. If the City Attorney’s office decides to file, they have to prove Brandy did something negligent which is said to be a difficult, if not impossible task.

Carrie Underwood on GMA
Carrie Underwood is already a star but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to do some promotional work. The American Idol alum was on ABC’s Good Morning America in New York City on Tuesday where she performed a three-song set. The country singer performed two songs from her new album ‘So Small’ and ‘Flat on the Floor’ and also performed and oldie-but-goodie song of hers ‘Before He Cheats’.

Earlier that day, Carrie was spotted at Virgin Megastore in Union Square as she picked up her new CD ‘Carnival Ride’. What? She couldn’t get one for free?

It seems like she’s everywhere though because the LA Times also has an article on her.

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

Country singer Mindy McCready has joined the list of jailed U.S. music stars after violating her probation on a 2004 prescription drug fraud charge. The “Ten Thousand Angels” hitmaker has been sentenced to serve a year behind bars in Florida. McCready was handed two more years of probation and 200 hours of community service. Now will someone just think what state the celebrity scene is like today, everyone, just about everyone of these so call stars are facing some kind of charges against them. And what about the prisons in America, there are so many culprits already in their jails and with these celebrities also joining their ranks, is there enough space in these jails to house them with proper amenities. Forget amenities, they should be dumped there in a cell were there are other prisoners as well so living with some of those people will give them an idea that the next they do not want to do anything that brings them back to a cell.
