‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’ = Best Picture?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Those hardworking kids at Oh No They Didn’t! have compiled a bunch of For Your Consideration ad posters that will be published in the hallowed Hollywood magazine Daily Variety.
Those posters are well meaning suggestions to next year’s Oscar nominations for various categories to members of the Motion Picture Academy. This year’s batch of For Your Consideration ads are pretty standard. Most films where either huge hits at the Box Office, with the critics or both, like WALL•E and Batman: The Dark Knight. But there is one in particular poster that gave me the ‘chills’.
WHAT THE HELL IS DISNEY THINKING?
SERIOUSLY?
BEST PICTURE?
ARE THEY NUTS?
OR JUST DESPERATE!?
The folks at Disney CANNOT be serious, right? This
They don’t really think that High School Musical 3: Senior Year is worthy of a Best Picture nomination … RIGHT?

Vanessa Hudgens Gets Sued

Vanessa Hudgens is getting sued for $5 million by her former producer/manager Johnny Vieira who claims that she owes him a lot of cash. Vieira filed a lawsuit last week in the Los Angeles Superior Court saying he wants a cut of the fortune that he helped Vanessa get and is entitled to. According to him, he and Vanessa entered into a financial agreement back in May of 2005 to launch her career and agreed to go 50/50 on the earnings. But after the success of ‘High School Musical’, Vanessa fired Vieira. And although they came to a settlement, she hasn’t been paying up. Maybe she doesn’t have the $5 million to begin with.

Vanessa Hudgens’ Identified is available now! The High School Musical alum delivers a varied collection of funky pop songs, hip-hop flavored anthems and beautiful ballads on her sophomore release. Identified kicks off with “Last Night,” the raucously rhythmic opener featuring Vanessa singing over her own chanted harmonies. “I loved it the minute I first heard it,” she says of the song. “It’s really intricate and really fun, something you don’t hear very often.” Best known as a singer and actress, Vanessa is also a superb dancer, so for the new album she raised the stakes with pummeling dance tracks like “Hook It Up,” “First Bad Habit” and the hook-laden title track, “Identified.”

Vanessa Hudgens Bombs

Vanessa Hudgen’s new CD ‘Identified’ dropped in stores this week and it debuted to disappointing numbers. Disappointing is actually an understatement. The album is more of a disaster if you ask me. It looks like America hates her. Even when she was a relative unknown, her last CD debuted with 34,000 units sold. Now that she’s a pretty big star, her sophomore album only sold 22,000 copies. That has got to hurt. I bet that her embarrassingly bad first single ‘Sneakernight’ didn’t help any. The only thing that could help her now is an amazing opening for ‘High School Musical 3’ and maybe signing up for a ‘High School Musical 4’.

A new promo picture of ‘High School Musical’ star Vanessa Hudgens has been released from her sophomore album ‘Identified’. Could this possibly be the artwork for her new album cover? Vanessa has also released a new single called ‘Sneakernight’ and it’s gotten nothing but good reviews. Blender magazine reviewed the song saying “Teens will dance (and giggle), parents will overpay for the concert and all will be right with the teen pop universe.” If you go by nothing but that, then I guess it really is a good song. It may be a teeny bopper song but hey, it’s a pretty big market.

Ashley Tisdale is Recording

Ashley Tisdale was seen entering a recording studio in Los Angeles on Friday. Could it be that she’s recording tracks for the upcoming ‘High School Musical 3’? Costar Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at a producer’s house earlier this past week. Later that day, Ashley was also seen at Paramount Studios to attend a meeting. So there’s a big chance that she was recording tracks for the Disney movie which starts production next month and is scheduled for an October 24 release. There are a couple of additions to the cast. It’s being reported that up and coming actors Matt Prokop and Jemma McKenzie Brown are now on board.
