The 23-year old singer went on her Twitter a couple of days ago to say “Party time american idol woot t minus 3 dayz.” Fellow pop singer Orianthi will also perform her hit ‘According to You’. And if that wasn’t enough for you, American Idol champ David Cook is also supposed to take the stage, tweeting “Oh and I brought a present back for everyone. We’ll be performing on Idol this Wednesday! Be sure to check it out!” 3 great performers and an elimination – what more can you ask for?
American Idol champ David Cook recently opened up to Life & Style about fan gifts, kissing for work and all the great opportunities he’s had. He also talked about the filming of the video for his single ‘Come Back to Me’. He said “I had a kissing scene. You watch stuff growing up, and I always thought I couldn’t imagine how uncomfortable that would be. Now I know! [Disturbia's Sarah Roemer] knew what she was doing. I kept apologizing the whole time.” Who could have thought that David wasn’t as suave as he looks? He should know that the last thing any girl wants to hear is an apology after she kisses you.
For those of you who care, last season’s American Idol champ David Cook and former American Idol contestant Kimberly Caldwell have called it quits. Kimberly’s camp said “Kimberly and David ended their relationship just before the holidays. The couple remain good friends and being very private people, appreciate their privacy at this time.” They didn’t look like the type that would last anyway. I was close to opening up a poll to see when people think they would break up. I guess it’s too late for that. I don’t even know why I’m writing about this. It’s not really newsworthy. But oh well.
David Cook recently scored a shoe endorsement deal with Skechers. The shoe brand company will use the 25-year old American Idol champ’s tousled image to sell its casual footwear line. Well, it’s not that far of a stretch for him that’s for sure. It just goes along with his casual rugged look. He said of the company “I have always viewed Skechers as a cool company, so I am excited to be a part of their campaign.” The gorgeous mug of David will be appearing on billboards and print ads for the shoe brand through December 2009. Couldn’t it have been longer?
Rihanna is looking hot as she waved to photographers while out shopping in West Hollywood with her family. Rumored boyfriend Chris Brown wasn’t around though. Rihanna is currently spending her second week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart with her hit song ‘Disturbia’. Someone finally knocked off Katy Perry! David Archuleta’s ‘Crush’ made the best chart debut in over 18 months by reaching number 2 and sold 166,000 downloads in the US. It looks like Rihanna has some stiff competition. I wonder when David Cook will be releasing more of his stuff. One David is not enough for me.
American Idol contestant David Cook had a very special guest in the audience on the performance show last night. His brother Adam, who is battling brain cancer, traveled all the way from Indiana to lend his support. Adam had a nurse and a doctor with him on standby. He is also said to be at tonight’s elimination show. If you remember, David was recently hospitalized due to his blood pressure because of the stress of thinking about his brother’s health. He’s sure to get some sympathy votes with this story. But in any case, David is a great performer anyway and gets lots of votes every week. I just wish his brother will end up ok.
