Susan Boyle to perform on US Dancing With The Stars

British singing sensation Susan Boyle is reportedly set to dazzle American audiences by taking centre stage on Dancing With The Stars.

The Scottish runner-up of Britain’s Got Talent is flying to Los Angeles to give a one-off performance, according to People.com.

It comes two months after the 48-year-old singer first appeared on US TV, during an episode of America’s Got Talent.

In her upcoming performance, she is expected to perform material from her soon-to-be-released CD I Dreamed A Dream.

“She’s excited and happy,” said her brother John Boyle. “She loves America and loves the people. She appreciates their honesty.”

Wino on Strictly Come Dancing

Amy Winehouse made her official comeback to the small screen this past weekend as a backup singer for her first recording artist, goddaughter Dionne Bromfiled. The young singer was a guest performer for the British show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – their version of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. If you were able to catch the performance, it’s pretty obvious that choreography is not Wino’s thing and I’m fairly certain that her mic was not on the entire time that she was on stage. Oh well, at least she didn’t make a fool of herself and Dionne by having the mic on and singing nothing but gibberish.

Mya is Injured

Dancing with the Stars just got started and 3 people have already been hurt! Singer Mya is the latest victim of the show’s mythic curse. She took to her Twitter to explain her injury saying “Went 2 the hospital late last night 2 get stitches. Deep cut from glass. Only caught 2hours of sleep but feel great. Must be adrenaline. Nothing to worry about. Just an ugly slice on my finger-not the first time I’ve had stitches. I’ll be just fine. Thanks4the concern.” She should be concerned though. Kim Kardashian got a similar injury during her time on the show and she got booted on week 3 despite being a judges’ favorite.

Jewel in Good Spirits

Singer Jewel injured her knee last week while rehearsing for her Dancing with the Stars debut which led many to think that she would be dropping out of the competition. However, one day after, she let everyone know that she was fully dedicated to getting better and performing. Jewel recently updated her blog to give some good news. She said that she went to her physical therapist and is feeling much better. According to her doctors, if she gets enough rest, she’ll be in good shape to compete. I’m glad to know that she’s doing ok and that she has the fire in her to compete. Good luck Jewel!

Toni Braxton Dances

Toni Braxton may have had to close her Las Vegas stage show due to her heart problems but that doesn’t mean she has to stop performing completely. The petite R&B crooner has been confirmed to be part of the new season of Dancing with the Stars. It’s good to know that she’s gotten her health back to the point where she can compete on the show. The exercise she’s going to get from all those dancing practices should also do her some good. And of course, those sympathy votes aren’t going to hurt either. How long do you think she can milk her health problems for votes?
