Her friends believe his sordid deals have pushed her “closer than ever” to ditching the junkie loser. A Brits source revealed: “Amy was supposed to rehearse on Monday, but didn’t show up after she discovered Blake had been trading pictures of her for drugs. It’s a real shame she wasn’t there for the rehearsal. Everyone got really worried. It’s sad Blake has sent her into turmoil again just before her big night. She’s been working so hard to get her head together for this.”
So is divorce on the horizon?
Even though she didn’t make it to sing live on stage, Amy rocked the Grammys with her performance via satellite from London. But that wasn’t nearly her biggest accomplishment for the night.
Amy racked up an amazing five Grammy awards before the show was over. Her awards included record of the year, song of the year, and best new artist.

The American Idol alum picked up her first single of the year award for the song ‘Before He Cheats’. She also took home the female vocalist of the year award for the second year in a row.
She’s definitely on a roll. She garnered the top spot on the albums’ chart when her CD debuted and now she’s won two CMA awards. Congratulations Carrie!
Is Britney Spears getting ready to shock the world again? Is she going to appear on yet another awards show just a week after her 2007 MTV VMAs more famously known as the Sunday night massacre?
According to UsMagazine.com, she could be. They are reporting that FOX is in talks with the pop star’s peeps to book her for the Emmy’s. Thankfully, she won’t be performing but rather having her come on and apologize for the VMAs. A show source says that she’s weighing the offer.
Why would she need to apologize for her VMAs performance? We’re in major need of therapy for that traumatic experience but she’s the one without a career.
Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has hit out at judges of the Mercury Music Prize, insisting the singer was “robbed” of the $40,000 award. They most probably did not want to reward this druggie. Good for them. “She is really well and doesn’t need to go back to rehab”…sure, it would be great if all drug users can get the monkey off their backs so fast. It was not but 2 or 3 weeks ago that she landed in a fight with her husband with him ending up with scratches all over his face and neck when he caught her about to do drugs with a prostitute in their bathroom. Fielder-Civil says, “Amy was robbed. Who knows why they didn’t give her the award. But I was so proud of her for her performance. She’s really well and she doesn’t need to go back into rehab.” He is no better than a piece of sh*t himself and he needs to go to the rehab and this time alone not in the company of Amy.
Britney Spears spent her weekend in Las Vegas, where she has been rehearsing her performance for the MTV VMA’s on September 9th. According to sources, Britney spent all day Friday rehearsing and then that night she went and partied with P. Diddy at Pure nightclub. Hey, now that’s what I like, you work and like Britney rehearsed all day and then when work is done for the day you party hard as well to enjoy and celebrate the day’s work. That’s the culture I have been brought up on and that’s the way I think it should be. No work just partying all the time and killing life without doing anything meaningful and substantial is worthless fun. I’m really looking forward to the MTV VMA’s tomorrow. While I don’t really ever watch MTV and I dislike the majority of the type of people who will be there, I really want to see Britney’s performance.

Madonna has been making amazing and timeless music for 25 years now and it is about damn time that MTV marks the milestone with a very special celebration. Sure, they did that during one of their awards shows having drag queens dress up as her but still.
The music network is said to be working on a two hour special in honor of the Queen of Pop. Details are still being ironed out but it’s believed that Madonna herself will be performing as well as some other artists who will cover her famous tunes.

Hip-hop singer Akon has had heaps of trouble this year. The most memorable happens to be when he sexed up a then 14-year old girl onstage at one of his concerts. That’s something that has to be looked down upon but wouldn’t you know it, the girl is actually being given an award.
Danah Alleyne is being awarded with a ‘Youth Motivator Award’. It’s hard to believe so it shouldn’t shock anyone that the nation of Trinidad is iffy about it.
Sources say that the 100% Crime Free Youth Committee made a mistake and named her the winner as a joke. Since the media found out about it, they have no choice but to give it to her. How embarrassing, it makes the organization look like it’s run by a bunch of idiots.
As if she’s lacking in awards, Carrie Underwood was just named as the world’s sexiest celebrity vegetarian by People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Carrie hasn’t eaten any meat since she was 13. That’s 11 years!!! She was also honored because of her work to help rescue stray puppies and kittens.
On her work, Carrie says “I do it because I really love animals and it just makes me sad.”
Now that’s staying true to who you are… or at the very least, what she’s packaged to be. She’s a goody two shoes in front of cameras and a goody two shoes in real life.
At the recent BET awards Jennifer Hudson was a success. She picked up two awards, one for best actress and the other for best new artist. Since her huge Oscar win the girl has been on her way up in the Hollywood world. Jennifer seems shocked to still be winning awards and high amounts of recognition. I say she deserves it. Give credit where credit is due. She has already proved that she has real talent which is more than most of the young divas in Hollywood can claim. Not only can she belt out a tune as good as the classics but she is also a healthy role model for younger women. She does not feel pressured by the ultra stick skinny look and has said before that she is going to represent the healthy chicks. It’s nice to see someone take a stand and not fold because of image issues. Having the courage to stand up and be proud of yourself sure beats getting wasted and thrown into jail because you really have nothing to offer and too much money to stay home. That may be slightly off topic but the point is that we need more women like Hudson to rekindle what Hollywood used to be about.
There surely must have been great work done by celebrities during their life time. But should a person who has in his/her past been involved in taking drugs or some kind of illegal activity be honoured at all. Some critics would say no, as they would not want a tainted person amongst them. But the rightful place should never be denied to a person if he has done something good for the right cause. Rock star Bono will be honoured with the Liberty Medal by the United States National Constitution Centre in September. He has been chosen for the award, which is conferred on people who have “demonstrated leadership and vision in the pursuit of liberty”. The award is being bestowed upon the legendary music star for his contribution and invaluable charity work in Africa. The $100,000 prize will go to the Debt Aids Trade Africa charity, which was founded by Bono in 2002. Until now, 6 recipients of the Liberty Medal have also won the Nobel Peace Prize. Is Bono ever gonna win the Nobel Peace Prize, well his fans would certainly give for it but only time will tell.
The Police is also the name of a double-disc CD that is set to be released on June 11 by A&M Records. It will feature 30 tracks, the greatest hits signed The Police and also marks 30 years since the band released their first single in 1977 (“Fall Out”).
Police members Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland topped the charts in both radio and television during the late seventies and early eighties. They actually have 5 number 1 albums and have also released many top 10 singles in a quick succession. The Police received two Brits and 6 Grammy awards and it will be possible to see them back on stage. The band announced plans to reunite for a tour in Europe and USA. It starts in Vancouver, three days from now and will end on September 4th. Tickets are already sold out to some events and hopefully fans will enjoy the performances.
Beyoncé Knowles managed to nab six nominations for the 2007 BET Awards. The show also gave nods to her co-stars in Dream Girls and is actually handing out a lifetime achievement award to the woman that inspired the story, Diana Ross. All of Beyoncé’s nominations are for her music though and not her acting.
I say, why nominate her for anything at all? I agree, the songs are catchy but they’re not all that. I honestly don’t get the point of saying “to the left to the left” over and over again. She just lacks substance in all forms of her job whether it’s acting OR singing.
I think they should hold all the music nominations away from her. Wait a year. Then out comes Melinda Dolittle to kick her ass. Oh yes!!! Now there’s a girl that can sing songs with substance and has the best personality out of anyone out there. I’d trade all Beyoncé’s, Britney’s, Madonna’s, Ciara’s and whoever else for one Melinda.
