CBS Blurs Adam Lambert

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Adam Lambert appeared on The Early Show on CBS last Wednesday morning to address the controversy surrounding his performance at the American Music Awards. The network showed a clip from the show but they blurred out the image of the gay singer kissing his band member. Moments later, CBS aired the clip of Madonna and Britney Spears making out at the MTV Video Music Awards from a couple of years back, completely uncensored! Talk about having a double standard! How the heck is that ok? I’m sure the American Idol alum has a lot to say about this one. I’m sure he’s loving all the publicity too.

Adam Lambert’s Shocking AMA Performance

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Adam Lambert aimed to be memorable with his American Music Awards performance this past Sunday and boy did he succeed! He may have been pitchy at times but the singer’s performance did what he set out to do – get people talking. From the crotch-grabbing to the simulated oral sex to the guy on guy make out session, how can people keep quiet after that? As if responding to all the recent controversy that’s been around him, the American Idol alum was gay, in your face and super sexual at the show. As a result, Adam’s gotten a lot of criticism for his performance. But a lot of people are also applauding him for his guts.

Jennifer Lopez’s fall

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

It seems that Jennifer Lopez had quite a performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday night. The singer apparently took a small tumble after jumping off of the back of one of her dancers. Even though the sequence wasn’t seen on the West Coast, Jennifer Lopez didn’t try to hide and instead joked about it on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show the next morning saying: “Did I trip a little bit? I don’t even remember. Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography. The measure of things isn’t what happens when you fall, it’s how you recover when you fall.” Such depth, such passion… no wonder Jennifer Lopez always gets such good ratings. Nobody stands a chance against her impeccable choreography.

Monday, November 26th, 2007

Whoever said that reality TV stars and alums can’t make it big in the real world should really start eating their words now. But in the case of American Idol alums Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry, was there ever really any doubt?

The two singers won big at the 2007 American Music Awards by picking up three awards each. Carrie won for Favorite Female Country Artist, Favorite Country Album for ‘Some Hearts’ and the Audience Text-in Award for Favorite Artist just days after winning big at the Country Music Association Awards. Chris Daughtry and his band took home Breakthrough Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Contemporary Artist.

Congrats to both!

Golden Brothers - The Jonas Brothers

It just goes to show that you can never be too young to be successful. The Jonas Brothers’ debut disc, ‘Jonas Brothers’ under Hollywood Records has now officially gone gold by selling over 500,000 copies.

15-year old Nick, 18-year old Joe and 20-year old Kevin are definitely headed for the big time as they’re now appearing with big time artists and even performing on big time shows. On Tuesday, the pop rock group of brothers joined Alicia Keys on TRL. And come Sunday, November 18, the rest of the world can see them perform at the 2007 American Music Awards.
