Kelly Clarkson Does Miley Cyrus

Kelly Clarkson recently joined Jill & Kate in covering Miley Cyrus’ hit song ‘The Climb’. And let me just say this – the original American Idol champ actually sang the song better than the Disney star. The 27-year old singer also wrote a post-VH1 Divas Live blog entry saying “So, Melissa Etheridge is so cool first off, but her voice is absolutely incredible!! I’m so happy I asked her to sing ["Bring Me Some Water"] on the show with me and I’m even more happy that she said yes and I got to perform with her! It was one of my favorite moments of the year…she’s such a class act and rad as can be!” Kelly also wrote about meeting Adele and watching India Arie and Sheryl Crow, two of her favorites, perform live for the first time.

Vogue Butchers Adele

Vogue has committed a crime against Adele! Photographer Annie Leibovitz is causing a bit of controversy again after pictures of the British singer came out and you can hardly tell that it’s Adele in the pictures. That’s a lot of Photoshop work! Considering that this is Vogue and they recently had Beyonce on the cover of the magazine with the headline “Real women have curves”, it’s all a bit hypocritical that they will turn around and butcher Adele like this. They should just make up their minds about what they are really trying to represent. I’m never going to forgive them for doing that to Adele.

Adele is Excited

Adele had a recent interview with the San Jose Mercury News. The Best New Artist Grammy nominee talked about what she felt about coming to the West Coast for her North American tour. The singer said “I’m looking forward to the heat, I’m looking forward to the Grammys and I’m looking forward to In-N-Out Burger. In fact, as soon as I roll up, I’m going to get an In-N-Out burger. Then I’m going to meet Perez Hilton and have a bit of gossip.” Who doesn’t love a bit of gossip here and there? An In-N-Out Burger would just make it even juicier.

Adele’s Group will give Spices hell
Spice Girls watch out…Brit award winner Adele wants to form the next generation of female supergroup — with Amy Winehouse, Katie Melua, Lily Allen and Kate Nash.

That sounds like trouble to me.

She said: “Amy, Katie, Lily, Kate and me all come from the same school. All of us represent most women in the world. If we were in a band I think it would be the best band ever. You don’t need to be a doll with tanned legs, blonde hair, big boobs and good lips. I really don’t think you have to be like that any more. We’re not afraid to speak our minds. I think everyone is entitled to an opinion whether it is good or horrible.”

And Adele might be knocking on her old Brit school mates’ doors sooner rather than later. The teenage singer, whose debut album 19 shot straight to No1 last month, said: “I want it soon as I want to be a mum and to be a wife.”
