Cat Deeley has admitted she would “love” Paula Abdul to come on board So You Think You Can Dance.
The 32-year-old, who is from Birmingham in the UK, said she would love Paula to come on the show after she recently left her role as a judge on American Idol.
She said: “I would love to have her with us. Every time I’ve met Paula she’s been incredibly friendly and fun. She also brings a stamp of approval.
“She was the most amazing choreographer a while back so to have her on the show would be pretty amazing.”
Cat is keeping busy as she has been filming two seasons of the show at the same time. But she said: “If I’m busy it keeps me out of trouble - the bad kind!”
Cat admitted that Nigel Lythgoe, who is a producer on the show as well as a judge, has put together a winning team of people to make the show work.
She said: “We were doing series six at the same time as being in the studio for series five. We have to have a great working relationship because otherwise we’d be pulling each other’s hair out.
“It’s a real family and all the kids from the previous seasons come back to the show. They come around to my house for a Fourth of July barbecue. We work hard and play hard.
“We finish a live show on a Thursday, jump straight onto the plane, fly through the night, to film in New Orleans all day and then we’ll be out at 3am having coffee and seeing a jazz band.
“You have to be like that otherwise you don’t enjoy the success of the show. We are a family and nobody understands what everyone else is going through as much as the people going through it with them.
“So it’s not too bad at all. I’m a woman, I can multi-task.”
