Michael Jackson’s Kids Saw His Body
July 8th, 2009Following Michael Jackson’s death, his three children were accompanied by a therapist to view their father’s lifeless body to help them understand his death and to begin the grieving process. The singer’s brother, Jermaine Jackson, explained that it was as tough to inform the kids as it was to begin grieving himself. He also talked about showing the kids Michael’s body, saying “I know it’s tough, but I think it was the best thing to do. At first I was against it, but what do you say if you don’t show them?” I sincerely hope that the kids are given enough time, space and the proper tools to deal with their grief healthily.
