American Idol Gives Back
May 13th, 2009One of the bigger controversies on American Idol this year was the decision of the execs to not put on an ‘Idol Gives Back’ show. However, that doesn’t mean that it has been dropped all together. During one of the show’s segments last night, a clip was aired featuring Carrie Underwood’s visit to Angola to show what ‘Idol Gives Back’ has done for the country. The country singer was seen handing out pesticide-treated bed nets to help the prevention of malaria and visiting schools and families. I still say they should have done a show for the charity. With all of the changes in the format of the show this year, some familiarity would have been great.
