Britney Spears’ former manager still trying to clear name

March 3rd, 2009

Britney Spears’ efforts to rebuild her career seem to be having a setback and this time it is not her but her former manager Sam Lutfi. Britney Spears’ camp has filed and successfully obtained a restraining order versus Sam Lutfi who they said is harassing Britney Spears and her family. Sam Lutfi is however doing everything to fight the order and clear his name even if it means thrashing down other people including Britney Spears’ ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. Sam Lutfi said he has not made any attempts to contact Britney but claimed the Adnan Ghalib has.

Sam Lutfi made this declaration in a Los Angeles Court as part of his efforts to reverse the permanent restraining order issued by the court. He said he has not initiated any direct communication with Britney Spears but he has received text messages from her. He said all his responses to those messages were conveyed through other people including Adnan Ghalib. He also denied he tried to threaten the pop tart, err star. This is contrary to the claim of Britney Spears’ head of security who said he witnessed Sam Lutfi’s attempt to contact the singer through text messages sent to Roberta Romero, Britney’s hair stylist. This was confirmed by the hairstylist who said Britney Spears asked her to cut off all contacts with Sam Lutfi.
