Mandy Moore is featured on the cover of the July/August 2009 issue of Women’s Health. In the accompanying interview, the 25-year old singer opens up about her recent marriage to rocker Ryan Adams, her upcoming album and her unexpected good girl gone bad behavior. She talked about some misperceptions about herself saying “I understand people have preconceived notions of who I am or what I do. But I do find it bizarre that people find it bizarre that I’ve grown up!” FYI, she has a tattoo on her foot that is, as she says, of a baby sperm. Why she chose that, I have no idea.
Taylor Swift is featured on the cover of the August 2009 issue of Glamour which will hit stands on July 7. In the accompanying interview, the country singing cutie talks about being grounded, using her real life to inspire her songs and having a boyfriend. She talked about maintaining who she is saying “I’ve never felt like I needed to tone down being seen as a regular person. When I first started doing MySpace, I wrote my bio in the first person. I didn’t want [it] to look like a publicity promo site, so I was the one doing all the commenting, and I was the one putting up the pictures and videos. I’ve approached my whole career like that—I don’t see that ever changing.”
It has been revealed that neither Michael Jackson nor Debbie Rowe is the parent of any of the late King of Pop’s kids. All three kids were apparently conceived in vitro. The singer was not the sperm donor for any of his kids and Debbie’s eggs weren’t used. She just served as the surrogate for the births of Michael Jr. and Paris. In the case of the youngest child, Prince Michael II, the surrogate is not known. 3 days after Prince was born, Michael’s lawyer picked the baby up from the hospital and brought the baby home to the singer.
Reports are saying that Michael Jackson’s final rehearsal the night before his death may be released as a posthumous album. The rehearsal, which included a spectacular display of dancers, musicians and aerial performers for the late King of Pop’s London O2 residency, was held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and was recorded in HD on several different cameras with the sound digitally recorded as well. While the singer had missed several of the scheduled rehearsals before, he made it to the final one the night before he died. AEG Live could lose millions over the cancelled shows but the release of Michael’s final evening could compensate for the loss as fans rush to get some memorabilia.
In the wake of the passing of the King of Pop Michael Jackson, a realization comes to light as his music soars through the charts. In the past couple of days since his passing, the singer’s albums and singles have taken over the top 10 lists of almost every major music downloading site, including iTunes and Amazon. Michael’s biggest hits has since held 6 top spots on the iTunes list of top 10 songs and his 2005 5-disc retrospective release, ‘The Essential Michael Jackson’ took the top album spot. The late music icon is even more prevalent on Amazon as all the top 10 albums are currently all his.
It seems that Michael Jackson’s total debt at the time of his death was estimated at three hundred million dollars. A source said the following about Michael Jackson’s extensive debt: “He signed up for the live comeback about 18 months ago and told lenders he could make $300 million. But the pressure of knowing what it would take to fulfill his promise could have killed helped kill him.” Sadly, the two certainties in life seem to remain death and taxes… and how graciously they seem to be able to walk hand in hand. Let’s see who’s going to put up the money to pay Michael Jackson’s tab… not to mention settle all of his lawsuits.
Reports say that it took Michael Jackson’s doctor over a half hour to call 911 after finding the singer unconscious. And the doc’s lawyer, Edward Chernoff, admitted to this. He explained the bizarre revelation saying Dr. Conrad Murray didn’t immediately make the call from his cell phone because he didn’t know the exact address of the late King of Pop’s home. For the record, the house is just above Sunset Blvd. in Beverly Hills, one of the most famous streets in the country. Chernoff said that Murray eventually got someone on the staff to make the call. Chernoff also made an excuse for Murray performing CPR on Michael while he was on the bed saying that it was a firm bed.
Police are planning a massive investigation into numerous doctors who have been treating Michael Jackson for several years.
Officer have been back into the late superstar’s rented home and taken away two large evidence bags full of medications.
And it emerged that officials are planning a major sweep on anyone who had treated the superstar over the years as family and friends fear he was addicted to prescription pills.
Officers have already interviewed Dr Conrad Murray, the star’s ‘personal physician’ who was with the King of Pop when he collapsed and died.
Now they plan to sweep far wider, with officers looking into family fears that doctors have been giving him ‘an easy, steady stream’ of powerful pills for many years, making him an ‘addict’ whose body was slowly destroyed.
Numerous sources have confirmed that the LAPD is looking to contact “an unknown number of doctors” over possible illnesses and also medications he has been taking.
News of the extended probe comes as investigators once again went to Jackson’s rented home in Holmby Hlls and removed “medical evidence”.
Craig Harvey, chief of operations for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, said two large evidence bags of medical materials were taken.
Harvey said: “Investigators went to Michael Jackson’s rented mansion and removed additional medical evidence as part of our work with the LAPD on the death investigation.”
Although the autopsy was completed Friday, a cause of death won’t be known for several weeks, pending the toxicology results.

Michael Jackson is being honoured with a comic book dedicated to the singer.
The King of Pop, who died last week, will follow in the footsteps of Princess Diana and Michelle Obama with the publication of the special edition.
It will trace his rise as a musical prodigy with the Jackson 5 through to the end of his life.
The book will also feature highlights from his storied career and cover his enigmatic private life.
Publisher Bluewater Productions is set to release the tribute issue in October.
It will feature a foreword by The Official Michael Jackson Fan Club’s Giuseppe Mazzola, who it says was a friend of Jackson.
“Michael Jackson’s music served as the soundtrack to countless lives, including mine,” said Bluewater president Darren G. Davis. “His influence on our culture has been profound.”
Not being surrounded by the rest of the Jonas Brothers doesn’t mean that Nick Jonas will chill for the day. Last week, the singer made a stopover at Washington DC to meet with President Obama. Nick was in Capitol Hill for a very important cause. He testified at a Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing on government funding for diabetes research along with Sugar Ray Leonard and Mary Tyler Moore. That’s a big job for a 16-year old to handle but a smart move as, with Nick being a teen idol, he can get the youth more informed and involved. Good on him!
Check out the new music video from the Paradiso Girls for their catchy single ‘Patron Tequila’ which is off of their debut album ‘Crazy Horse’. The girl group was put together by Robin Antin, the same creator as the Pussycat Dolls. The group consists of five girls from different countries, namely Kelly Beckett and Lauren Bennett from the UK, Aria Crescendo from France, Shar Mae Amor from the Philippines, and Chelsea Korka from Florida. Chelsea is actually from the reality competition series ‘Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll’. She was the one who could sing really well but couldn’t dance as good. I wonder what happened to that other girl group that Robin put together, Girlicious.
It seems that the openly gay gossip blogger has recently apologized for his gay-slander at the address of Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am. Perez Hilton was apparently pressured into doing this by The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Moreover, he has vowed to donate any money he makes in the lawsuit against The Black Eyed Peas’ manager to the Matthew Shepard Foundation which supports diversity programs in education. It was indeed a bit strange that a gay man would call a straight one a “faggot” with the purpose of insulting him. Would that be like a Jew calling another Jew a covetous prick? It’s good that the Alliance intervened… now there will be even more peace and diversity in the world!
Singer Beyonce said Michael Jackson was “incomparable” and his death is a “tragic loss”.
The 27-year-old singer revealed her grief at the death of the King of Pop, who passed away in LA aged 50 after reportedly suffering a heart attack.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “This is such a tragic loss and a terrible day. The incomparable Michael Jackson has made a bigger impact on music than any other artist in the history of music.”
She added: “He was magic. He was what we all strive to be. He will always be the king of of pop. Life is not about how many breaths you take, but about how many moments in life that take your breath away.
“For anyone who has ever seen, felt, or heard his art, we are all honoured to have been alive in this generation to experience the magic of Michael Jackson. I love you Michael.”
Michael Jackson’s mother will most likely take custody of his three children following his death, according to reports.
Michael recently passed away aged 50 in LA after reportedly suffering a heart attack.
It is claimed custody of the star’s three children - Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and six-year-old Prince Michael II - will be given to his elderly mother Katherine.
The Jackson family’s lawyer, Brian Oxman, said: “Probably Mrs Jackson will take care of them, she loves them dearly.”
He also confirmed that the children did not accompany their famous dad to the UCLA Medical Center and that they are in LA with a nanny.
Jermaine Jackson reveals doctors spent an hour trying to revive his brother Michael
The brother of Michael Jackson last night revealed doctors and paramedics spent an hour trying to revive the pop star.
Jermaine Jackson held a news conference at UCLA Medical Centre just hours after his brother died at the age of 50.
He told how medical staff had attempted to resuscitate the King of Pop before finally declaring him dead.
Jermaine said: “My brother, the legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday June 25 2009 at 2.26pm.
“It is believed that he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until the coroner results of the autopsy are known.
“His personal physician, who was with him at the time, he attempted to resuscitate my brother. And as did the paramedics who transported him Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Centre.
“Upon arriving at the hospital at approx 1.14pm a team of doctors including emergency physicians and cardiologist attempted to resuscitate him for over an hour. They were unsuccessful.
The singer is apparently plannig a change in style so as to not be taken by surprise by her X Factor judging coleague, Danii Minogue. A source said the following about Cheryl Cole’s fashion plans: “Cheryl was taken aback when she first saw Dannii’s new look. She knew that she’d had a new haircut but she was shocked when she saw her complete style makeover. It’s a total departure for her - and she looks great. Cheryl wants something a bit sharper now. She’s telling people she wants to ‘de-Barbie’ herself.” Cheryl Cole has a barbie-like style and she wants to get rid of if? What’s she going to do anyway, go goth? That would definitely be a sight… let’s just hope we don’t get to see it.
Beth Ditto is still on her tirade against Katy Perry, responding to Katy’s recent opinion that she is not impressed with The Gossip lead singer. The feeling seems to be mutual as Beth explains to Spinner that she still feels Katy’s success with ‘I Kissed a Girl’ is offensive to gay people. Beth said “I don’t care if she writes a song about kissing a girl, but there are people who kiss girls in their everyday life, and it’s not as easy as just kissing a girl and everyone loving you. It’d be really rad to hear her talk about something like that.” At the heart of it though, Beth is trying to shed light on the hypocrisy of the industry by putting Katy and her song on some sort of pedestal but still alienating gay and lesbians any other time.

The singer has great expectations from her upcoming reality TV show, “The Price of Beauty”. Jessica Simpson is quoted as saying the following about the upcoming TV show: “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.” Yeah, reality shows are always wild rides… they wouldn’t really have any audience if they weren’t. You’d never think they were actually directed under these circumstances.
I have already tried to block out the fact that Brooke Hogan is a reality celebrity daughter and also a so-called recording artist but it doesn’t seem to work because she just keeps going at you and reminds you of it every time. What she records may not actually make her a certified artist but it worked well enough that someone actually decided to give her another chance. On July 21, Brooke will release her 2nd album ‘The Redemption’. The press release for her album read “On ‘The Redemption’, fans will take notice as Brooke solidifies herself not only as a pop singer but as a songwriter with style. The album is a pop wonderland with up-beat, sexy dance rhythms and hip-hop influences, all overlaid with Brooke’s signature voice.” She wishes.
Green Day has just premiered the video for their new single, “21 Guns,” exclusively on MySpace Music. The video was helmed by noted director Marc Webb, who has lensed clips for such artists as My Chemical Romance, Weezer, and All-American Rejects, and is making his feature film directorial debut in July with (500) Days of Summer.
“21 Guns” is the second single from the band’s latest album 21st Century Breakdown, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, as well as on the Rock, Active Rock, and Alternative charts, fueled by the Alternative radio No. 1 single “Know Your Enemy.” 21st Century Breakdown, which Rolling Stone has called “a rock opera in which the rock always comes first,” also topped the charts in 24 countries including the UK, Canada, and Japan.
Over the past month, Green Day has continued to work with MySpace Music for the promotion of 21st Century Breakdown. During the week of the album’s release, they played an exclusive concert in New York City which was filmed for the site’s premiere online concert program, The List. The performance can now be seen on The List’s official MySpace profile.
This year’s show will take place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 9th, and air the next day, Monday, August 10th, on FOX at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Fans can vote for Green Day at http://www.teenchoiceawards.com/.

The Jonas Brothers’ concert in London last week was absolutely crazy! Not only were a lot of the band of brothers’ fans in attendance treated to a spectacular performance by the trio of siblings but they also surprised everyone by bringing out their British equivalent McFly for a duet on their song ‘Star Girl’. You can just bet that the girls went ape crazy over that one. And I must say that the duet was awesome. Maybe they can have some collaborations on their next albums. Now that will keep those sales up for both groups and a lot of fans really happy.
The pop singer will be among the first three artists to host a station on the soon to be launched “a.p.e. radio”. The initials apparently stand for “artist personal experience” and the shows will be held by Clear Channel Radio in Association with Front Line Management. Apparently, we’re going to get the chance to see what exactly artists listen to. It will be curious to see if Christina Aguillera will actually put some of her own music on, but she probably wouldn’t be so bold as to do that. But if they get some others on the payroll… certain names of divas come to mind… things will probably get more and more interesting.
Miley Cyrus’ management hung up on more than one radio station this past week during phone interviews with the singer actress. The Hannah Montana star has recently taken to her Twitter to try to defend herself. She wrote “Theirs a little drama (of course the world loves it ew.) because apparently i “hung up” on radio stations today and I hate to say thats not true. I am a specific time limit and schedules are set up for specific time frames for each station… if a station goes over time I am IMMEDIATELY connected to the next station. YES, i am sorry if anyone thought I ‘hung up” on them. The peeps at the radio stations r friends we know each other well and have a great relationship. I’m sorry if anything was miscommunicated, taken out of context, or misunderstood.” Why wouldn’t any of the stations try to wrap up if they were nearing the limit?
Brandi Cyrus, Miley’s older sister, got herself a band called Frank and Derol with friends Megan Park and Codi Caraco. Brandi recently talked to some press and talked about who inspires her musically. She replied “Definitely my sister and my dad, but aside from them I listen to so much different music. My favorite band of all time is Jimmy Eat World, I’ve listened to them for so long. I’m good friends with Hayley, from Paramore and I look up to her a lot. I basically watched that band build their entire career from the ground up.” If Miley inspires her music, I’d rather not hear any of it.
Rihanna and ex-boyfriend Chris Brown attended Game Four of the 2009 NBA Finals separately last week at Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. People reported that the former couple surrounded by a felony assault drama requested to sit together but wound up getting seats nowhere near each other. During half time, the camera panned to every celebrity who was there to watch the game except for Chris. I wish they would have showed him. It would have been the best indication as to how the jury would react to their case which will have its preliminary hearing on June 22. Rihanna is set to testify.
