Joss Stone must be desperate to promote her latest album because she’s taken to insulting Lily Allen publicly. According to Joss, Lily’s making a big stink about people illegally downloading music because she’s not a real singer. Joss said “She needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too. I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live… So the downloads – she’s not going to win that fight. None of us will win that fight. So let’s just accept it and let’s see it as something that can be beautiful and it might change music for the better. It might sort the weeds from the flowers.”
While being handed a Stylemaker award at the 13th annual Accessories Exchange Council, Lady GaGa took the opportunity of the moment to transmit a subtle message for all fashion lovers out there: “I think we must all remember that the ultimate accessory is the condom.” She might have thought she was promoting safe sex… but calling a condom an accessory, doesn’t really relay its importance too much. Lady GaGa might just have “inspired” some “artists” to start making condom-themed clothing. But hey, all for the betterment of the world, eh? ‘Gossip Girl’ star Leighton Meester joined Weezer on stage during the band’s Halloween concert at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City last weekend. The actress and aspiring singer helped Rivers Cuomo sing the band’s new single ‘(If You’re Wondering if I Want You To) I Want You To’. Naked Brothers Band guitarist Nat Wolff also joined in on the show. After the show, Leighton went on her Twitter to talk about her experience and said that Rivers was “perfection in a bottle”. I know I’ve shared my doubts about Leighton’s singing but she’s actually pretty good live. The success of her music career is still up in the air though.

Kelly Clarkson revealed in a new radio interview that she has started working on her 5th studio album and says that it’s going to be really different. The American Idol alum also said that she may not have time to write the whole album as she’s going to be on tour to promote her latest album ‘All I Ever Wanted’ until March 2010. That may be a good thing considering she’s made the mistake before with her disaster of an album ‘My December’. It’s good to have others helping the singer because more often than not, they know what they’re doing.

It seems that even though a talk about “the event” with Rihanna was promised for Thursday morning, the singer took the opportunity to spill her guts in Glamour magazine where she did an interview in which she talked about the whole Chris Brown-related incident. When asked about how it had changed her, Rihanna replied the following: I’m stronger, wiser and more aware. You don’t realize how much your decisions affect people you don’t even know, like fans.” Yes, woe unto the fans of Rihanna for now they have to put up with her not-so satisfying new music. Chris Brown definitely managed to really hit a soft spot there!

It seems that the comedian determined Taylor Swift to go to a fake dressing room where she was ready to pounce on the unsuspecting singer. The thing resulted in a funny little video that can be found on the internet showing Taylor Swift falling on the bathroom floor. You’d think something like this would damage her popularity, but Taylor Swift probably got a few bonus points

This is what Kelly Clarkson said on the matter: “If I end up liking stuff that I’ve done then I’ll include it, but if I like other stuff better I’ll use that. Sometimes you’re just more inspired I guess, and sometimes if you have records that come you really close together it might be more other people’s songs. Because there’s not enough time to write and sing and perform and do everything.” No, doing all that stuff is for those wimpy musician fellows, Kelly Clarkson is in the music industry… she’s an industrial entrepreneur and industrial entrepreneurs don’t have time to make their own music and perform it and all that other crap relating to art!
Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has reportedly grown close to singer Rihanna following the singer’s assault ordeal.
It is claimed that Aniston, 40, has been advising the 21-year-old about men following Rihanna’s assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who was given five years probation for the attack.
It is claimed they met through their mutual friend Oprah Winfrey and they recently met up at the Greenwich Hotel in New York.
Movie producer Ray Manzella, a friend of Aniston’s, said: “Jen has her fair share of imperfect relationships but not one of those men was ever disrespectful to her physically. No one would dare lay a hand on her because they know they just couldn’t get away with it.
“Hopefully that will rub off on Rihanna. She needs someone who can set the example that no woman should be treated with anything less than respect. I think Jen’s the one to do that.”
Kevin Jonas’s mum Denise said that her son picked the “right girl” in fiancée Danielle Deleasa.
Denise, 43, admitted that she often teases her son Kevin, 21, about the similarities between herself and Danielle, 23.
She said to PEOPLE: “I really think she is the right girl.” Denise added that she teases her son and says: “You’re marrying your mother – but she is just thinner and prettier.”
Denise isn’t the only member of the family that approves of Danielle as Kevin’s youngest brother Frankie, nine, feels close to her.
She said: “He really loves her and is proud of her.”
Taylor Swift revealed some juicy details about her relationship with ‘Twilight’ actor Taylor Lautner during a new interview. The cutie of a country singer said “I don’t know, he’s an amazing guy and we’re really close … and ah … yep. We’re in a movie together and I am really excited about seeing it…We both wanna see it so bad, ’cause our scene was so much fun to do, it was hilarious doing this scene!” She didn’t confirm, nor did she deny whether they’re dating or not so that’s still up in the air – or at the very least until they get caught off guard. Mind you, they have a kissing scene in the movie ‘Valentine’s Day’.
Leona Lewis is seeking for your help. The singer has teamed up with the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) to help spread the word against animal suffering. To help out, Leona recently released a video to support the cause. She said “I’ve always been a huge advocate for any charities that are trying to help animals, because they are trying to change laws to protect animals – which I think is amazing…One reason animals are so vulnerable to cruelty is because there is no universal agreement between nations that animals can suffer and feel pain… The campaign for a Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare could be the beginning of the end for animal cruelty across the world. It’s up to us to give these animals a voice, and put a stop to cruelty and neglect, right now.”
Lindsay Lohan was just dropped by Casablanca Records after supposedly spending nearly a year and a half recording her next album. That album would have been her third. So what’s she going to do now? A reality show of course! Supposedly a camera crew was following the washed up singer/actress around to various fashion shows, parties and clubs when she was in Paris fuelling rumors that the footage will be used for a reality show. Linday’s rep declined to comment regarding the issue. Well, she does need to make money somehow. It’s not like she has that many options left.

It seems that Jennifer Lopez is still in for a screened whooping as Ojani Noa’s production partner, Ed Meyer, clearly states that there are no legal grounds for them to halt production of their project: “The 2007 injunction prevents Noa from licensing, disseminating, distribution… any book manuscript or other written materials which contain private or intimate details about Lopez or Noa’s relationship with Lopez. But this is a 100 percent parody, and, as such, is not impacted by the injunction.” This reminds of that old saying: “The show must go on!” And it most likely will…
To celebrate the debut of the world’s largest cruise ship, Rihanna will be boarding the Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas on November 19th for a private concert. I never had an idea that those types of things have a huge draw, considering that they got the Barbadian singer involved. Rihanna will be performing as a part of the big ship’s three night preview voyage, being the first performer on the boat’s Aqua Theater, before the 5400-passenger ship officially sets sail in December. I wonder how much she’s getting paid for this gig. It must be huge. And I can just bet that she’s going to get the best room on the whole ship.
Director Guy Ritchie was seen meeting up with his ex-wife Madonna for a recent gathering at the Kabbalah Centre in London.
The 41-year-old was seen with a newly-bald head as he visited the London Kabbalah Centre along with ex-wife Madonna and their children for some spiritual healing.
A source said to British newspaper News of the World: “They will always come together in religious matters for the kids. Guy arrived first and then Madonna followed him with Mercy, but they then left separately.”

That’s such a bad move as the Latina singer will now be going up against Lady Gaga’s ‘Fame Monster’, Rihanna’s ‘Rated R’, Adam Lambert’s ‘For Your Entertainment’ and Britney Spears’ ‘The Singles Collection’. Shakira certainly won’t take the top spot up against all of that strong competition. What was her label thinking? This really smells like sabotage to me.
Michael Buble is ruling the charts! First, the singer ran over KISS. Now, he rules over the ‘New Moon’ soundtrack. Michael’s ‘Crazy Love’ is still number 1 on the Billboard charts for the second week in a row, snatching the top spot from the soundtrack for the ‘Twilight’ sequel. Michael sold an amazing 203,000 records this past week while the ‘New Moon’ soundtrack only managed to sell 115,000 copies despite the huge hype. Could that mean that ‘Twilight’ is losing its steam? Or was the album just too riddled with indie acts that not many teenyboppers care about? But anyway – congratulations Michael!
